In modern ICs, sub-threshold voltage management plays a significant role due to its perspective on energy efficiency and speed performance. Level shifters (LSs) play a critical role in signal exchange among multiple voltage domains by ensuring signal integrity and the reliable operation of ICs. In this article, a Pass-Transistor-Enabled Split Input Voltage Level Shifter (PVLS) is designed for area, delay, and power-efficient applications with a wide voltage conversion range.

Under the initiative of the "Direcció General de Memòria democràtica-Departament de Justícia" (Generalitat of Catalonia, Spain), a multi-disciplinar project was funded to identify the remains of people disappeared in Catalonia during and after the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). Samples were officially sent by Autonomous Government of Catalonia to the Laboratory of Forensic and Population Genetics at Complutense University, Madrid, Spain, to be genotyped. Our study presents a database of 343 victims genotyped for STRs comprised in GlobalFiler™ PCR Amplification Kit (Thermofisher Scientific) and a subset of 292 typed with Y-STRs from Yfiler™ Plus PCR Amplification Kit (Thermofisher Scientific).

Objectives: Neonatal sepsis is one of the causes of neonatal mortality and bacterial resistance to antibiotics is one of the challenges facing NICU. The aim of this study was to provide a basis for empirical antibiotic selection by comprehensively searching Chinese and non-Chinese databases for studies related to neonatal sepsis pathogenesis conducted in China and synthesizing all the results of the studies conducted in hospitals in China during the period under study METHODS: In this study, we conducted extensive searches of Pubmed, Web of Science, Cochrane, China Biology Medicine disc (SinoMed), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wanfang Data. We screened studies published from 2014 to 2023 that were conducted in hospitals in mainland China and involved bacterial blood cultures and susceptibility tests in neonates with neonatal sepsis and extracted the data, which were summarized using Stata 18.

Background: Considerable epidemiological studies have examined the correlation between polymorphic single-nucleotide variants (SNPs) in miRNA genes and colorectal carcinoma (CRC) risk, yielding inconsistent results. Herein, we sought to systematically investigate the association between miRNA-SNPs and CRC susceptibility by combined evaluation using pairwise and network meta-analysis, the FPRP analysis (false positive report probability), and the Thakkinstian's algorithm.
Methods: The MEDLINE, EMBASE, WOS, and Cochrane Library databases were searched through May 2024 to find relevant association literatures.

Polychlorinated naphthalenes (PCNs), which are ubiquitous in the environment, are listed as persistent organic pollutants under the Stockholm Convention. Poultry can be exposed to PCNs via feed and breeding environments, leading to PCNs accumulation in eggs. However, information on PCNs in eggs from waterfowl raised in contaminated regions is scarce.

Soil salinity poses a significant environmental challenge for the growth and development of blueberries. However, the specific mechanisms by which blueberries respond to salt stress are still not fully understood. Here, we employed a comprehensive approach integrating physiological, metabolomic, and transcriptomic analyses to identify key metabolic pathways in blueberries under salt stress.

Objectives: To develop an EULAR training model for education in synovial tissue biopsy (STB) under ultrasound guidance (UG) following a stepwise approach: (1) development of educational material on UGSTB in large and small joints; (2) assessment of the validity, reliability and feasibility of the UGSTB educational procedure on cadaveric specimens; (3) validation of this procedure in live patients.
Methods: Using a nominal group (NG) and a DELPHI consensus methodology, educational audio-visual (AV) material and minimal requirements for education in UGSTB were developed by an expert panel. Then the experts performed an UGSTB on cadaveric joints using the developed approach.

Background: In biomanufacturing of surface-active agents, such as rhamnolipids, excessive foaming is a significant obstacle for the development of high-performing bioprocesses. The exploitation of the inherent tolerance of Pseudomonas putida KT2440, an obligate aerobic bacterium, to microaerobic conditions has received little attention so far. Here low-oxygen inducible promoters were characterized in biosensor strains and exploited for process control under reduction of foam formation by low aeration and stirring rates during biosynthesis of rhamnolipids.

Conventional dark-tone paints absorb both visible light and near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths, posing a challenge for light detection and ranging (LiDAR) recognition in autonomous driving. To overcome this issue, various chemical and structural coating materials have been explored to selectively reflect NIR. In this study, we newly propose colloidal photonic crystals with a stopband in the NIR range, fabricated through the spontaneous formation of crystalline arrays of silica particles dispersed in a photocurable resin, as a potential solution.

Background: Dementia is a major global public health challenge, with over 50 million cases in 2020, projected to reach 152 million by 2050. Effective prevention strategies are needed to reduce the impact of modifiable risk factors associated with dementia, particularly in countries with ageing populations like Italy. The Population Attributable Fraction (PAF) and Potential Impact Fraction (PIF) are key metrics for understanding and reducing dementia cases through targeted interventions.

Roadside tree segmentation and parameter extraction play an essential role in completing the virtual simulation of road scenes. Point cloud data of roadside trees collected by LiDAR provide important data support for achieving assisted autonomous driving. Due to the interference from trees and other ground objects in street scenes caused by mobile laser scanning, there may be a small number of missing points in the roadside tree point cloud, which makes it familiar for under-segmentation and over-segmentation phenomena to occur in the roadside tree segmentation process.
