The global burden of foodborne illnesses remains high due to consumption of contaminated food. Vigilant attention from all, particularly food handlers, is needed to address food safety concerns and minimize the risks that affect consumer health, international business, and tourism worldwide. The main objectives of this study were to: (i) evaluate the food safety knowledge, attitudes, commitment (involving affective, continuance, and normative types), and practices of students studying subjects related to food sciences in Jordanian universities and (ii) examine the impact of knowledge and attitude on commitment, and subsequently, on relevant practices using structural equation modeling.

The goal of the research was to develop a hydrophobic octanoate salt of chitosan (CS-OA) and use the salt as a nanoparticle platform for the delivery of curcumin (CUR) into prostate cancer cells. The nanoprecipitation technique was used to prepare the nanoparticles, which were measured for particle size and encapsulation efficacy relative to CUR-CS nanoparticles. The cytotoxicity of CUR-OA-CS nanoparticles was evaluated in prostate cancerous cells (PC3 and DU145) in comparison with the corresponding blank nanoparticles and hydroalcoholic CUR solution.

Silver nanoparticles were successfully incorporated into a melamine-based polymer, resulting in the synthesis of (Ag NPs@Bipy-PAN) through a reverse double solvent approach. The synthesised Ag NPs@Bipy-PAN polymer underwent extensive characterisation through Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) and Thermal Gravimetric Analysis. PXRD analysis confirmed the successful encapsulation of Ag nanoparticles and provided insights into the amorphous nature of the polymer following encapsulation.

This study aimed to incorporate green-synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs), functionalized with polyethylene glycol (PEG) and linked to doxorubicin (DOX), into various topical gel formulations (hydrogel, oleogel, and bigel) to enhance their dermal delivery. The ZnO NPs were produced using the aqueous extract of the root hair of Phoenix dactylifera. The optimized green-synthesized ZnO NPs, PEGylated and conjugated to DOX, demonstrated a particle size below 100 nm, low polydispersity index, and zeta potential between - 11 and - 19 mV.

To deal with situations involving uncertainty, Fermatean fuzzy sets are more effective than Pythagorean fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, and fuzzy sets. Applications for fuzzy similarity measures can be found in a wide range of fields, including clustering analysis, classification issues, medical diagnosis, etc. The computation of the weights of the criteria in a multi-criteria decision-making problem heavily relies on fuzzy entropy measurements.

This paper investigates the effects in short and long run of renewable and non-renewable energy, technological advancement, population, foreign direct investment, energy export, energy price, and carbon dioxide emissions on economic growth in Saudi Arabia as one of the largest oil producing and richest countries in the world and as a leading country in investing in modern technology, during 1990-2022 by using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag(ARDL) approach and the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) Granger causality technique. In first step, the ADF and DF-GSL tests are used to identify the order of integration of variables. In the second step, the Bounds test and the Wald test are used respectively to verify the existence of long run cointegration relationships and the long run relationships between variables.
