Introduction: Laccases are blue-multicopper containing enzymes that are known to play a role in the bioconversion of recalcitrant compounds. Their role in free radical polymerization of aromatic compounds for their valorization remains underexplored. A novel series of thiazole derivatives with pyrazole scaffold 16a-l as hybrid rosiglitazone/celecoxib analogs was designed, synthesized and tested for its PPAR-γ activation, α-glucosidase, α-amylase and COX-2 inhibitory activities. Regarding the anti-diabetic activity, all compounds were assessed in vitro against PPAR-γ activation, α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibition in addition to in vivo hypoglycemic activity (one day and 15 days studies). Compounds 16b, 16c, 16e and 16 k showed good PPAR-γ activation (activation % ≈ 72-79 %) compared to that of the reference drug rosiglitazone (74 %).

CD4CD25 FOXP3 regulatory T cells (Tregs) represent a subpopulation of CD4 T cells central for the suppression of physiological and pathological immune reactions. Although distinct cell surface antigens are expressed in regulatory T cells, those components are also present on the surface of activated CD4CD25 FOXP3T cells, thus making the discrimination between Tregs and conventional CD4 T difficult and isolation of Tregs complex. Yet, the molecular components driving Tregs' function are still not fully characterized.
