Attachment-Retained versus Clasp-Retained Removable Partial Dentures: Effects of Retention on Patient Satisfaction.

Objectives:  To compare the retention and patient satisfaction of attachment-retained versus clasp-retained removable partial dentures (RPDs) over time and to evaluate the impact of retention force on patient satisfaction.

Materials And Methods:  This study included 107 patients with 130 RPDs at the University Dentistry Clinical Center, Prishtina, Kosovo. Patients were divided into two groups: clasp-retained RPDs ( = 79) and attachment-retained RPDs ( = 51).

Optimization of a mass spectrometric analytical method for the quality assessment of insulin and its analogs.

The principal aim of this study was to optimize analytical methodology based on mass spectrometry for the evaluation of the quality of recombinant human insulin and its analogs. In this study ESI-MS was used to assess the quality of human insulin, short acting insulin analogs, insulin lispro, insulin aspart and insulin glulisine and long acting analogs including insulin glargine, insulin degludec, and insulin detemir, in respective pharmaceutical formulations. In this study, with the aimed to optimize analytical conditions, different factors influencing the analytical performance such as pH, ionic strength, sample dilution, organic solvent addition were addressed.

THE IMPACT OF SYSTEMIC DRUGS ON DENTAL IMPLANT OSSEOINTEGRATION: A REVIEW.

The process of osteointegration of dental implants is a biological process. Systemic therapy can interfere with this process, affecting the growth and breakdown processes of the bone and ultimately leading to implant failure. This literature review focuses on specific groups of systemic drugs that directly impact osteointegration.

A Comparison of Outcomes from Antibiotic Treatment with and without Probiotics in 897 Patients with Lower Urogenital Tract Infections, Including Cystitis, Urethritis, Prostatitis, and Vulvovaginitis.

BACKGROUND Urogenital bacterial infections have a high incidence in humans. The most frequent cause of infections of the urogenital tract is gram-negative bacteria. Antibiotics are very effective in curing infectious diseases but they are accompanied by health complications.

The effects of different types of organisational workplace mental health interventions on mental health and wellbeing in healthcare workers: a systematic review.

Objective: To determine if and which types of organisational interventions conducted in small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) in healthcare are effective on mental health and wellbeing.

Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, we searched six scientific databases, assessed the methodological quality of eligible studies using QATQS and grouped them into six organisational intervention types for narrative synthesis. Only controlled studies with at least one follow-up were eligible.

Psychometric properties of two implementation measures: Normalization MeAsure Development questionnaire (NoMAD) and organizational readiness for implementing change (ORIC).

Background: Effective interventions need to be implemented successfully to achieve impact. Two theory-based measures exist for measuring the effectiveness of implementation strategies and monitor implementation progress. The Normalization MeAsure Development questionnaire (NoMAD) explores the four core concepts (Coherence, Cognitive Participation, Collective Action, Reflexive Monitoring) of the Normalization Process Theory.

Using an intense pulsed light (IPL) module for the treatment of pigmented lesions.

Background: Pigmented lesions are largely benign and may lead to extreme distress. Various light and lasers may be used to treat pigmentation, often Q-switched lasers are considered the method of choice, while intense pulsed light (IPL) devices may offer a less invasive treatment with a shorter downtime.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a narrowband IPL module for the treatment of pigmented lesions.

Implementing a complex mental health intervention in occupational settings: process evaluation of the MENTUPP pilot study.

Background: According to the Medical Research Council (MRC) framework, the theorisation of how multilevel, multicomponent interventions work and the understanding of their interaction with their implementation context are necessary to be able to evaluate them beyond their complexity. More research is needed to provide good examples following this approach in order to produce evidence-based information on implementation practices.

Background: An emphasis has been given lately towards women's engagement together with their potential in soccer. As this sport develops with athletes becoming more physically fit and skilled, it is unclear what the consequences in terms of injuries are. Having this in mind, this study aimed to investigate the major injuries that occur in women's soccer players.

Predicting Risk Factors of Lower Extremity Injuries in Elite Women's Football: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

This study identified and analyzed the risk factors of lower extremity injuries (LEI) in elite women football players to improve career and health outcomes. To address this aim, a systematic review and meta-analysis methodology was used. In total, four relevant research articles were identified through database searching and screening using the PRISMA flow diagram.

Promoting employee wellbeing and preventing non-clinical mental health problems in the workplace: a preparatory consultation survey.

Background: Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face major financial losses due to mental health issues affecting employees at all levels but seldom apply programs to promote wellbeing and prevent mental health issues among employees. To support the development of a multi-country workplace-based mental health intervention for SMEs (MENTUPP), a multinational consultation study was conducted. The study aimed to examine the experiences and needs of SMEs concerning the promotion of employee wellbeing, and the prevention and management of non-clinical mental health problems in workplaces.

Third molar maturity index (I) assessment according to different geographical zones: a large multi-ethnic study sample.

Identification of living undocumented individuals highlights the need for accurate, precise, and reproducible age estimation methods, especially in those cases involving minors. However, when their country of origin is unknown, or it can be only roughly estimated, it is extremely difficult to apply assessment policies, procedures, and practices that are accurate and child-sensitive. The main aim of this research is to optimize the correct classification of adults and minors by establishing new cut-off values for four different continents (Africa, America, Asia, and Europe).

Volatile Constituents of Some Selected Plant Species Traditionally Used as Tea in the Sharri Mountains (Kosovo).

The study evaluates the chemical composition of the volatile constituents of ten plant species traditionally used as herbal tea in the Sharri Mountain regions (Kosovo and North Macedonia). Volatile constituents responsible for the flavour and fragrance of selected species (, , , , and ) were separated and then identified using GC-MS, whereas GC-FID is employed for the quantitative analysis. Experimental data revealed different patterns of volatile constituents depending on plant species.

A rare case of thoracic-abdominal aortic aneurysm in conjunction with bilateral superficial femoral artery occlusion, documented with computed tomography angiography.

Aneurysms represent bulging of the weakened blood vessel area, as a result of cystic medial degeneration. Aneurysms chance of rupturing increases over time, resulting in bleeding and death. Therefore, patients with aortic aneurysms require frequent monitoring with magnetic resonance and computed tomography angiography, as well as undergoing open repair surgery and endovascular aneurysm repair.

Comparison of the third molar maturity index (I) between left and right lower third molars to assess the age of majority: a multi-ethnic study sample.

The diagnostic accuracy of the I to assess the legal age of 18 years has already been tested in several specific-population samples. The left lower third molar has been extensively used for discriminating between minors and adults. This research aimed to compare the usefulness of lower third molar maturity indexes, from both left and right side (IL and IR), in samples originating from four distinct continents in order to examine possible differences in their accuracy values.

The Effect of Aerobic Physical Activity in Adrenaline Level in White Laboratory Rats.
