Hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease globally. Although Indian studies have addressed the prevalence of hypertension and its associated factors, this study focuses upon women in the reproductive age group, 15-49 years, who have undiagnosed hypertension. We use NFHS-4 data for secondary analyses of prevalence and factors associated with undiagnosed hypertension among women aged 15-49 years in India.

At the departments of pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacology of the Zaporozhye State Medical Institute (Ukraine), our research team isolated the compound 1-(β-phenylethyl)-4-amino-1,2,4-triazolium bromide (Hypertril) as derivative of 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole. The objectives of this investigation were the study of cardioprotective and antihypertensive activities of this new compound Hypertril and we used the Spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) as an experimental model.

In this article, we described a rare atypical clinical case of tropical helminthiasis - a visceral gnathostomiasis with simultaneous damage of the upper and lower parts of the gastrointestinal tract. The visceral form is the rarest variant and among the literary data, only single cases of this form are described in the world. Therefore the management of such patients requires an individual and balanced approach since it is almost impossible to predict the consequences of any medical interventions.
