fusion-positive sarcomas constitute an emerging subtype of undifferentiated sarcomas, histopathologically composed of epithelioid and spindle cells. We describe two fusion-positive sarcomas occurring in the occipital region of a 53-year-old female patient and the left shoulder of a 25-year-old male patient. Histopathologically, the former tumor comprised spindle and polygonal-shaped/epithelioid cells, while the latter comprised epithelioid cells.

Deviated nasal septum (DNS) is a common condition affecting nasal breathing, which is generally treated using septoplasty. However, this invasive surgical method carries potential risks of post-surgical complications. Alternatively, electromechanical reshaping (EMR) is a novel method that has evolved as a non-thermal, minimally invasive option to reshape the cartilage using mechanical pressure and direct current (DC) without significant tissue damage.

Thyroid sarcomas, primary or secondary, are exceptionally rare with only a handful of case reports documented so far. The challenges lie in the fact that certain primary thyroid malignancies of epithelial origin may exhibit spindle cell morphology, making them difficult to differentiate from thyroid sarcomas.

Leprosy is known for its diverse pathophysiologic involvement and resulting multisystemic manifestation and morbidities. Despite global efforts to eliminate this public health illness, it is still prevalent in some Asian and European countries. Perioperative management of a leprosy patient is challenging owing to the indirect and direct involvement of the airway, respiratory, and cardiac systems; treatment-related side-effects involving the hepato-renal systems affecting the anesthesia techniques and drugs pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics.

Hydrolysis of pharmaceutically active molecules can be in control under a confined environment of water-in-oil microemulsion. Stability of model drug methotrexate (MTX) in a sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT) and olive oil microemulsion system has been evaluated. The physicochemical properties of AOT-MTX-water-olive oil reverse microemulsion (MTX-RM) were examined by UV-vis, Fourier transform infrared, and X-ray diffraction techniques, and the hydrodynamic size was determined by dynamic light scattering techniques and morphologies were characterized by a transmission electron microscope and atomic force microscope.

Background: Mycobacterium abscessus complex (MabC) has emerged as an important cause of human infections, including meningitis. In the absence of correct microbiological identification, cases of MabC meningitis are treated with conventional anti-tubercular therapy, thereby worsening the outcome.
Objective: The current study was conducted to determine the clinical features, antimicrobial susceptibility, and outcome of patients with MabC meningitis.
Background: Neuropathic Tremor (NT) is a postural/kinetic tremor of the upper extremity, often encountered in patients with chronic neuropathies such as paraprotein-associated and hereditary neuropathies.
Objectives: To describe the clinical and electrophysiological features of NT in a previously underrecognized setting- during recovery from Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS).
Methods: Patients with a documented diagnosis of GBS in the past, presenting with tremor were identified from review of clinical records.
