Objectives To identify the feasibility and applications of ICG Fluorescence Guided Surgery (FGS) in hepatobiliary surgeries (for biliary atresia, choledochal cyst, and cholelithiasis) in children.

Hepatopulmonary fusion in congenital diaphragmatic hernia: successful management of a lethal variant.

Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a congenital anomaly involving the herniation of intra-abdominal contents into the thoracic cavity. Hepatopulmonary fusion (HPF), an exceedingly rare subtype mainly associated with right-sided CDH, presents unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. This case report describes a male infant with right-sided CDH complicated by HPF.

We present the case of a male patient in his early 20s with VLM of the tongue who received precise interventions which were executed with active contributions from a team of anaesthesiologists, interventional radiologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons and intensivists.

Transverse cerebellar diameter: a reliable predictor of gestational age.

Objectives: To determine accuracy of transverse cerebellar diameter (TCD) measurement in the prediction of gestational age (GA) in normal fetuses; to develop reference chart for TCD according to GA in Indian population.

Diagnosing nail-patella syndrome: can it be so simple?

We describe here an interesting case of a 7-day-old male infant brought with parental concerns of inability to extend both knees. Clinical evaluation revealed dysplastic fingernails, bilateral abnormal patellae, triangular lunules in conjunction with pathognomic iliac horns on pelvic radiographs suggesting the possibility of nail-patella syndrome (NPS). Other competing diagnoses with similar phenotypic features were considered and sequentially excluded.

Bilateral alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma of breast: a rare entity.

Sarcomas of breast constitute less than 1% of all malignant breast tumours. Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is very rare in breast with limited case reports in literature, and primary alveolar RMS arising from breast is still less common than metastatic RMS. Here, we report a case of primary bilateral alveolar RMS of breast in an adolescent female where the correct diagnosis was obfuscated by an overlap in the histological features of RMS and high-grade invasive ductal carcinoma.

Single perineal opening with 'H-type' cecovesical fistula and blind-ending foreshortened distal colon: a new variant of persistent cloaca.

Persistent cloaca is a rare and severe variety of anorectal malformation, which is more common in females and includes a spectrum of abnormalities. The urinary tract, genital tract and rectum open into a common channel, which exteriorises as a single perineal opening. We are reporting a patient with a novel variation in the classical anatomy of the cloaca.

Case of oculo-auriculo-vertebral spectrum: rare clinical features.

A 2-month-old boy presented to us with bilateral microtia, left lower motor neuron facial palsy, micrognathia, hemivertebra, bifid rib, bifid thumb and absent/hypoplastic right-sided depressor anguli oris. He had bilateral external auditory canal atresia, although response to loud sound was present. Brain stem evoked response audiometry (BERA) was advised at 3 months of age.

Traumatic avulsion of the globe with optic nerve transection: an unusual presentation.

Complete globe extrusion, whether traumatic or spontaneous, is a rare clinical entity and if associated with optic nerve avulsion, it has a worse visual outcome, though repositioning of the globe may be attempted. We report a case of road traffic accident, wherein the patient presented with an extrusion of the globe, along with a complete transection of the optic nerve, about 4 cm from the optic nerve head, with only a residual attachment to the orbital rim via the unsevered lateral conjunctival flap, where the enucleation was completed and the conjunctiva was sutured.

Management of cardiovascular emergencies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is frequently associated with infertility, obesity, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. Cardiac autonomic dysfunction is well documented in long-term patients of PCOS, with impairment being proportionate to disease duration. However, there is paucity of literature on cardiac autonomic tone in the "lean" phenotype of PCOS.
