The move toward early detection and treatment of cancer presents challenges for value assessment using traditional endpoints. Current cancer management rarely considers the full economic and societal benefits of therapies. Our study used a modified Delphi process to develop principles for defining and assessing value of cancer therapies that aligns with the current trajectory of oncology research and reflects broader notions of value.

Significance: The photoacoustic (PA) technique, a noninvasive pump-probe technique, has found interesting applications in biomedical tissue diagnosis over the last decade. To take it a step further to clinical applications, the PA technique needs to be designed as an instrument focusing on a compact design, reducing the cost, and quickly providing a quantitative diagnosis.
Aim: This work presents a design and characterization of a cost-effective, compact PA sensing instrument for biomedical tissue diagnosis.

Anti-signal recognition particle (anti-SRP)-positive necrotising myopathy causes severe progressive proximal weakness with a propensity to involve pharyngeal, laryngeal and respiratory muscles. It is one of the aggressive inflammatory myopathies. First-line treatment is with high-dose steroids followed by other immunosuppressants, but this conventional therapy is often ineffective.

Ewing's Sarcomas (ES)/Peripheral neuroectodermal tumour (pPNET) are heterogenous group of rare, highly malignant, undifferentiated primitive round-cell neoplasms of neuroectodermal origin. pPNETs are seldom observed to involve the spine of which Spinal Intradural Extramedullary Extraosseous Primary ES/pPNET are extremely rare. We report a case of a 23-year-old male with complaints of low backache and hip pain radiating to the left inguinal region for four months.

We report a postpubertal case of obstructed hemivagina and ipsilateral renal agenesis syndrome who presented with dysmenorrhoea and light menstrual flow. Imaging modalities confirmed the diagnosis after which vaginal septal incision and drainage was performed. In addition, we also performed vaginoscopy using hysteroscope, both preincision and postincision and drainage, to visualise the vagina and to exclude any communication between two hemivaginas.

Introduction: Lung ultrasound when used in isolation, usually misses out metabolic causes of dyspnoea and differentiating acute exacerbation of COPD from pneumonia and pulmonary embolism is difficult, hence we thought of combining critical care ultrasonography (CCUS) with arterial blood gas analysis (ABG).
Aim Of The Study: The objective of this study was to estimate accuracy of Critical Care Ultrasonography (CCUS) plus Arterial blood gas (ABG) based algorithm in diagnosing aetiology of dyspnoea. Accuracy of traditional Chest X-ray (CxR) based algorithm was also validated in the following setting.

Hyaluronidase is a hydrolytic enzyme that helps in breaking down hyaluronic acid, a component of the extracellular tissue matrix, thereby facilitating the dispersion of local anaesthetic drugs through tissue planes. It is a key component in peribulbar anaesthesia for ocular surgeries. Allergic response to hyaluronidase is relatively rare but a potentially vision-threatening complication.

Bartter syndrome is a very rare and heterogeneous disease with variable age of onset and symptom severity. Genotypically they have inherited disorders of the thick ascending limb in the renal tubular system, which manifest phenotypically as electrolyte imbalance due to loss of sodium, chloride and potassium. Gain of function mutations in the calcium-sensing receptor has been described in some patients with Bartter's syndrome (type-5 Bartter syndrome or autosomal dominant hypocalcaemia with Bartter syndrome) associated with hypocalcaemia and hypercalciuria differentiating it from Gitelman syndrome.
