Advanced Practice Nurses' Evidence-Based Healthcare Competence and Associated Factors in Finland and Singapore-A Cross-Sectional Study.

Aim: To describe and compare the Evidence-Based HealthCare (EBHC) competence of Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), and the factors associated with it in Finland and Singapore.

Design: A descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study.

Methods: Data were collected from APNs working in healthcare in Finland (n = 157) or Singapore (n = 99) between May 2023 and October 2023 using a self-assessment instrument to measure EBHC competence (EBHC-Comp-APN) and an EBHC knowledge test.

Chain Mediating Effect of Social Support and Trust in Physician on Stroke Caregivers' Decision Self-Efficacy and Decision Conflict.

To explore the chain mediating role of social support and trust in between decision self-efficacy and decision conflict of stroke caregivers. Convenient sampling was used to select stroke caregivers who were admitted to the department of neurology, neurosurgery and rehabilitation in a four-3A hospital in Henan Province from September 2023 to April 2024. General information questionnaire, Decisional Self-efficacy Scale, Social Support Scale, Wake Forest Physician Trust Scale and Decisional Conflict Scale were adopted.

Perceptions of Mental Health Challenges and Needs of Indonesian Adolescents: A Descriptive Qualitative Study.

Indonesian adolescents face an increased risk of developing mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, largely due to insufficient mental health literacy and awareness. This lack of knowledge often leads to delayed recognition and treatment. To address this, the present descriptive qualitative study explores Indonesian adolescents' perceptions of mental health challenges and needs.

The global prevalence of emotional eating in overweight and obese populations: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

This systematic review aims to investigate the current prevalence of emotional eating and its associated factors in overweight and obese populations. We included studies that (1) reported prevalence of emotional eating; (2) were in the context of weight gain or overweight and obesity; (3) used a validated psychometric tool to assess emotional eating; (4) were published as an internationally referred journal article and (5) were reported in the English language. Articles were searched on eight electronic databases (CINAHL, EMBASE, PsychINFO, ProQuest, PubMed, Scopus, The Cochrane Library and Web of Science) from the journals' inception to 11 April 2024.

Evaluating Intervention Reporting in Nursing Journal RCTs Using the TIDieR Checklist: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Aim: To assess the completeness of intervention reporting in randomised controlled trials (RCTs) published in nursing journals based on the Template for Intervention Description and Replication (TIDieR) checklist.

Design: A cross-sectional study.

Methods: RCTs published in English in nursing journals between January 2022 and December 2022 were identified through PubMed.

Predictors of parent-child bonding and parenting satisfaction during the perinatal period: A structural equation model.

Objectives: To examine the predictors of parent-child bonding and parenting satisfaction using structural equation models at three time points across the perinatal period: (1) during pregnancy at >24 gestational weeks, (2) one month postpartum, and (3) three months postpartum.

Methods: This longitudinal exploratory quantitative study recruited a convenient sample of 118 heterosexual couples (236 participants; 118 mothers and 118 fathers) from maternity clinics of a public tertiary hospital in Singapore. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize the parents' characteristics and study variables.

Patients with hard-to-heal wounds: a review and synthesis of their experiences and perceptions of maggot debridement.

Objective: There is little use of maggot debridement therapy (MDT) worldwide, albeit there is much literature supporting its benefits and effectiveness for hard-to-heal (chronic) wounds. Hard-to-heal wounds are becoming ever more prevalent and MDT can play a pivotal role in wound care management. This underuse can be associated with patients' perceptions and experiences of MDT.

Country-specific key lifestyle factors and health outcomes for resource allocation in the general population: a network analysis across 29 countries.

Background: We aimed to identify the central lifestyle, the most impactful among lifestyle factor clusters; the central health outcome, the most impactful among health outcome clusters; and the bridge lifestyle, the most strongly connected to health outcome clusters, across 29 countries to optimise resource allocation for local holistic health improvements.

Methods: From July 2020 to August 2021, we surveyed 16 461 adults across 29 countries who self-reported changes in 18 lifestyle factors and 13 health outcomes due to the pandemic. Three networks were generated by network analysis for each country: lifestyle, health outcome, and bridge networks.

Factors Associated With Mental Health Literacy, Depression, and Anxiety Amongst Indonesian Adolescents.

Aims: This study aims to identify factors associated with mental health literacy (mental health knowledge and attitudes towards mental health and help-seeking behaviours), depression and anxiety amongst adolescents, and test the hypothesised model by examining the interrelationships between these outcomes.

Design: Cross-sectional descriptive quantitative research.

Methods: Using convenient sampling, 615 adolescents from four public schools completed online questionnaires measuring mental health literacy, depression, and anxiety.

The GLOB-cAGE Consortium: A Global Cardiovascular Collaborative Network of Older Adults with Cardiovascular Disease.

Background: GLOB-cAGE is a newly established unprecedented consortium that brings together cohorts of older persons with cardiovascular disease worldwide. GLOB-cAGE aims to harmonize non-identifiable data from longitudinal cohorts examining cardiovascular health and cardiovascular disease diagnosis and management in older individuals to perform meta-regression analyses using combined repositories of standardized subject-level data points.

Methods And Design: Studies registered into GLOB-cAGE are population-based longitudinal cohort studies or clinical trials, either ongoing or completed, that involve assessing cardiovascular health as a central objective.

Cardiovascular-Liver-Metabolic Health: Recommendations in Screening, Diagnosis, and Management of Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease in Cardiovascular Disease via Modified Delphi Approach.

There is a new awareness of the widespread nature of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and its connection to cardiovascular disease (CVD). This has catalyzed collaboration between cardiologists, hepatologists, endocrinologists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to address the need for earlier identification of those with MASLD who are at increased risk for CVD. The overlap in the pathophysiologic processes and parallel prevalence of CVD, metabolic syndrome, and MASLD highlight the multisystem consequences of poor cardiovascular-liver-metabolic health.

This study aimed to explore Singaporean fathers' perceived influence over their children's eating habits. A descriptive qualitative study design was used. Convenience sampling was used to recruit fathers of children aged 3-21 years old from a general paediatric outpatient clinic in a tertiary public hospital.

Introduction: Family members caring for a person living with dementia (PWD) can experience caregiver burden, leading to psychological distress if unmanaged. It's essential for healthcare professionals, especially nurses to identify caregivers at risk of stress and depression, triggering prompt management during their contact with caregivers of PWD. The study team developed an evidence-based caregiver burden-mastery hybrid assessment and intervention decision matrix (CHAT-MI) for caregivers of PWD and examined its feasibility of use.

The global prevalence of psychological problems in different trimesters is unclear due to methodological constraints in previous reviews. A precise estimate would be a key first step in raising awareness and allocating resources. This review aims to (1) calculate the global prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms during different trimesters and (2) determine the factors influencing their prevalence estimates.

Is medical school culture conducive to women's academic success? a survey on faculty perceptions and experiences of gender equity.

Background: In academic medicine, the lack of gender equity hinders the career progression of women academics. This can often affect scientific productivity and widen the gender gap that exists in this field. As such, this study aimed to understand how full-time faculty members in academic medicine perceive the climate for women academics and identify target areas for interventions supporting gender equity.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of expressive writing therapy in comparison to standard postpartum care for alleviating psychological distress, encompassing symptoms of depression, anxiety, or stress, in postpartum women.

Problem: Depression is reported as the most common disorder among caregivers, especially for caregivers of children with autism. However, limited systematic reviews have investigated the prevalence of depressive symptoms among these caregivers. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to synthesize the prevalence of global depressive symptoms among caregivers of children with autism and identify associated factors.
