Aims: To explore the mediating role of relationship satisfaction between communication patterns and benefit findings in stroke couples using the actor-partner interdependence mediation model.

Methods And Results: A cross-sectional study was conducted from October 2022 to April 2023 in China. Based on the actor-partner interdependence mediation model, we used structural equation modeling to explore the mediating role of relationship satisfaction of stroke patients and their spouses in communication patterns and benefit findings.

Effectiveness of wearable technology-based physical activity interventions for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A systematic review and meta-regression.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder with the increasing prevalence of a modern sedentary lifestyle. Wearable technology-based physical activity interventions (WT-BPAI) might provide a channel to improve diabetic self-management. The study aimed to (1) evaluate the effectiveness of WT-BPAI on PA levels, glycemic levels, and other outcomes (blood pressure [BP], body mass index [BMI], and serum lipid profile) in adults with T2DM, and (2) investigate the potential covariates affecting aforementioned outcomes.

Personal and Workplace Characteristics as Predictors of Intent-To-Stay Among Registered Nurses: An Exploratory Quantitative Multicentre Study.

Aim: This study aims to describe and examine the factors associated with registered nurses' intent-to-stay and subsequently identify predictors of nurses' intent-to-stay.

Design: A quantitative, cross-sectional correlational design was used.

Methods: A convenience sample of 270 registered nurses completed the questionnaire and was included in this study.

Women's perceptions of the use of virtual reality during childbirth: A qualitative systematic review and meta-synthesis.

Background: Childbearing women often resort to pharmacotherapies for pain and anxiety management during childbirth, despite their adverse effects. Virtual reality has emerged as an alternative, but a comprehensive synthesis of women's experiences with virtual reality during labor is lacking, hindering validation of its perceived effects.

Aim: To synthesize the best available evidence of women's perceptions of the use of virtual reality during childbirth.

Development of the Paternal Involvement in Early Infancy Scale (PEACE) for fathers in Singapore.

Objectives: To develop and validate a psychometrically sound self-reported Paternal involvement in Early InfAnCy ScalE (PEACE) for Asian fathers with infants aged 0-12 months old.

Methods: This study comprised of three phases: (1) Pilot test among 100 fathers, (2) Exploring and confirming the PEACE's multidimensional structure using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) (n = 200 fathers) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) (n = 200 fathers), and (3) Assessing one-month test-retest reliability of PEACE among 30 fathers. Data was collected from August 2022 to August 2023.

Purpose: Stroke is a leading cause of disability, significantly impacting survivors' ability to return-to-work (RTW). Background: Virtual reality exposure and distraction are recent novel technologies for reducing preoperative anxiety symptoms. However, the effectiveness of virtual reality-enhanced interventions in adults is still controversial and has yet to be evaluated in a systematic review.

Objectives: The study aimed to (1) evaluate the effectiveness of virtual reality-enhanced interventions on preoperative anxiety symptoms in adults compared to comparators; and (2) identify the factors affecting the effectiveness of interventions.

Effects of Psychoeducation on Caregivers of Individuals Experiencing Schizophrenia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

The existing paradigm on recovery in mental health prioritises self-empowerment and person-centred, community-based care, which necessitates family caregivers' collaboration to support individuals with schizophrenia in the community. However, the role of family caregivers is often under-recognised and hence insufficiently supported. This review aims to consolidate and appraise evidence exploring the caregiver burden of parents of children with mental disorders. A mixed-studies review structure was adopted and six electronic databases (PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Embase, Scopus and ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Global) were searched from each database's inception date until September 2023. Thomas & Harden's thematic analysis framework was utilised for data analysis.

Reducing anxiety and enhancing satisfaction in thyroid patients with DietLens application during radioactive iodine therapy: A quasi-experimental study.

Hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer significantly impact health, and often require Radioactive Iodine (RAI) therapy. Anxiety is common in patients undergoing RAI, particularly related to dietary compliance. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the mobile health application, DietLens in reducing anxiety and increasing satisfaction in patients preparing for RAI therapy, focusing on low-iodine diet (LID).

Virtual reality exposure therapy for social anxiety disorders: a meta-analysis and meta-regression of randomized controlled trials.

Background And Objectives: Virtual reality exposure therapy offers a unique opportunity to treat social anxiety disorder. This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the effectiveness of virtual reality exposure therapy compared to waitlist comparators or other interventions for individuals with social anxiety disorder in alleviating anxiety symptoms.

Methods: A three-step comprehensive search for the randomized controlled trials of virtual reality exposure therapy was conducted from inception to 7 December 2023.

The impact of a student death doula service-learning experience in palliative care settings on nursing students: A pilot mixed-methods study.

Through a mixed-methods approach (randomized controlled trial and thematic analysis of pre and post-service-learning reflections), this study evaluated the impact of a student death doula service-learning experience on nursing students' palliative competencies and learning experiences. The intervention group underwent a 2-day student death doula training workshop followed by a 6-month service-learning experience, while the control group received standard palliative care education. Attitudes toward the care of the dying significantly improved for the intervention group but not for compassion competence and palliative care knowledge.
