Background: Despite numerous initiatives attempting to enhance BF across Asia, recent studies show that exclusive BF rates remain alarmingly low. With globalization, society has shifted from traditional family roles towards more egalitarian marriages, where Asian fathers are now more involved in parenting. Background: Siblings of children requiring palliative care are often forgotten and overlooked, as the focus tends to be on the ill child and their parents. Limited knowledge of non-bereaved siblings' perspectives makes it challenging to provide appropriate support for them. A review of existing literature is thus needed to better understand the experiences of these siblings and to identify research gaps that may require further examination.

  • This systematic review evaluated how effective psychoeducation is for first-time mothers in boosting self-efficacy and social support while reducing depression and anxiety.
  • A total of 12 studies with 2083 participants showed that psychoeducation had positive effects, particularly in increasing self-efficacy and social support immediately after the intervention and in lowering depression levels at three months postpartum.
  • Despite the positive findings, the overall quality of evidence was uncertain, highlighting the need for more research in diverse settings, especially outside of Asia.

Effective communication skills in nursing are necessary for high-quality nursing care, but given the decline in nursing students' attitudes and their low self-confidence in effective communication with patients, a participatory and experiential training method is needed. Therefore, a virtual counseling application was developed using artificial intelligence and a three-dimensional avatar to facilitate learning of communication skills. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of this theory-based virtual intervention on nursing students' learning attitudes, communication self-efficacy, and clinical performance.

Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of death globally. Recently, dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP4i), glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) and sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) were approved for treating people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Although metformin remains the first-line pharmacotherapy for people with type 2 diabetes mellitus, a body of evidence has recently emerged indicating that DPP4i, GLP-1RA and SGLT2i may exert positive effects on patients with known CVD.
