A comprehensive approach of untargeted and targeted fatty acid bioprofiling of different royal jelly commercial and pharmaceutical products based on HPTLC-image analysis and melanoma cytotoxic activity together with chemometric analysis was applied in this study for discovering efficient biomarkers. Principal component analysis based on HPTLC-image analysis fingerprints of fatty acid loading plots were used to determine the chemical markers responsible for classification of royal jelly samples into fresh and lyophilized ones. These markers were identified using the HPTLC-MS technique as 8-hydroxyoctanoic acid, 3,10-dihydroxydecanoic acid, 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid, decanedioic acid and 10-hydroxydecanoic acid.

Structurally the compounds of interest are found to be stable. Both compounds possess elastic stability, anisotropy, and ductility determined by the elastic studies.

By retrospectively reviewing medical records of 85 patients with a verified diagnosis of EWS in the period from 2001 to 2015 at Pediatric and Medical Oncology Departments at South Egypt Cancer Institute; We gathered data relevant to the patient, disease, and treatment variables of the study. Survival was estimated using the Kaplan Meier method and differences between various groups were determined by log rank test.

Pulmonary capillary hemangiomatosis (PCH) is a rare cause of pulmonary hypertension (PH) of unknown etiology resulting from pulmonary capillary proliferation. PCH's main clinical presentations are progressive dyspnea, fatigue, hemoptysis, palpitations, and later irreversible pulmonary hypertension and right-sided heart failure.

Effects of coronary revascularization by elective percutaneous coronary intervention on cardiac autonomic modulation assessed by heart rate variability: a single-center prospective cohort study.

Objective: To study the effects of coronary revascularization using elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on autonomic modulation assessed by heart rate variability measurement (HRV) in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients.

Methods: A single-center prospective cohort study included 100 patients were included undergoing elective PCI excluding those with contraindication to contrast or dual antiplatelet therapy, atrial fibrillation or multiple premature beats, receiving anti-arrhythmic drugs and those who underwent previous PCI or coronary artery bypass graft (CABG). Short-term measurement of time domain parameters (mean, SDNN, RMSSD) and frequency domain parameters (LF component, HF component, LF/HF ratio) of HRV was performed at the same time of the day, pre-PCI, 24 hours and 6 months post-PCI by CheckMyheart™ handheld HRV device.

Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of some novel 1,2-dihydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-]pyrimidines bearing amino acid moiety.

A new series of [1,2,4]-triazole bearing amino acid derivatives 2a-d-9a-d were synthesized under green chemistry conditions multicomponent reaction using lemon juice as an acidic catalyst. The obtained compounds were characterized by different spectral and elemental analyses. The obtained candidates showed promising antibacterial activity against some standard bacteria and multidrug resistant (MDR) clinical isolates.
