This study investigated how human dissection affects students' spiritual beliefs, and how their existing spiritual beliefs influence their perceptions of human dissection. This cross-sectional study assessed 760 medical students with human dissection experience using an online questionnaire developed from interviews and the Spirituality Orientation Inventory, including questions on dissection experience, spirituality, spiritual perceptions about dissection, and the impact of dissection on spirituality. This study examined the effectiveness of music storytelling communication intervention in promoting the acceptance of caesarean section (CS) among families in rural areas. The families were randomly assigned to control groups, music storytelling and non-music storytelling. The result showed that although the families reported a negative perception of CS at baseline and rejected it as a delivery option, this changed significantly after the intervention.

The dynamic and versatile group of enzymes referred to as glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) play diverse roles in cellular detoxification, safeguarding hosts from oxidative damage, and performing various other functions. This review explores different classes of GST, existence of polymorphisms in GST, functions of GST and utilizations of GST inhibitors in treatment of human diseases. The study indicates that the cytosolic GSTs, mitochondrial GSTs, microsomal GSTs, and bacterial proteins that provide resistance to Fosfomycin are the major classes.

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+), a coenzyme, is ubiquitously distributed and serves crucial functions in diverse biological processes, encompassing redox reactions, energy metabolism, and cellular signalling. This review article explores the intricate realm of NAD + metabolism, with a particular emphasis on the complex relationship between its structure, function, and the pivotal enzyme, Nicotinate Nucleotide Adenylyltransferase (NNAT), also known as nicotinate mononucleotide adenylyltransferase (NaMNAT), in the process of its biosynthesis. Our findings indicate that NAD + biosynthesis in humans and bacteria occurs via the same de novo synthesis route and the pyridine ring salvage pathway.
