Routine hip MR imaging includes a combination of T1-weighted and fluid-sensitive sequences, obtained in coronal, axial, and sagittal planes. MR arthrography of the hip can be used for assessment of intra-articular pathology involving intricate and signal-poor structures such as articular cartilage, labral fibrocartilage, and intra-articular bodies.

RAD51 separation of function mutation disables replication fork maintenance but preserves DSB repair.

Homologous recombination (HR) protects replication forks (RFs) and repairs DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs). Within HR, BRCA2 regulates RAD51 via two interaction regions: the BRC repeats to form filaments on single-stranded DNA and exon 27 (Ex27) to stabilize the filament. Here, we identified a RAD51 S181P mutant that selectively disrupted the RAD51-Ex27 association while maintaining interaction with BRC repeat and proficiently forming filaments capable of DNA binding and strand invasion.

Despite the rich information about the physiological state of a cell encoded in the dynamic changes of cell-surface glycans, chemical methods to capture specific glycan epitopes at the single-cell level are quite limited. Here, we report a chemoenzymatic method for the single-cell detection of N-acetyllactosamine (LacNAc) by labeling LacNAc with a specific DNA barcode. The chemoenzymatic labeling does not alter the transcriptional status of immune cells and is compatible with multiple scRNA-seq platforms.

Genome-wide association studies (GWASs) have identified hundreds of loci associated with Crohn's disease (CD). In this study, we searched for novel antifungal activities in the Pandemic Response Box, a collection of 400 structurally diverse compounds in various phases of drug discovery. Numb family proteins (NFPs), including Numb and Numblike (Numbl), are commonly known for their role as cell fate determinants for multiple types of progenitor cells, mainly due to their function as Notch inhibitors. Previous studies have shown that myocardial NFP double knockout (MDKO) hearts display an up-regulated Notch activation and various defects in cardiac progenitor cell differentiation and cardiac morphogenesis. Whether enhanced Notch activation causes these defects in MDKO is not fully clear.

AIB1Δ4 is an N-terminally truncated isoform of the oncogene amplified in breast cancer 1 (AIB1) with increased expression in high-grade human ductal carcinoma (DCIS). The cell wall is a ubiquitous structure in the fungal kingdom, with some features varying depending on the species. Additional external structures can be present, such as the capsule of (), its major virulence factor, mainly composed of glucuronoxylomannan (GXM), with anti-phagocytic and anti-inflammatory properties. The literature shows that other cryptococcal species and even more evolutionarily distant species, such as the , and can produce GXM-like polysaccharides displaying serological reactivity to GXM-specific monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), and these complex polysaccharides have similar composition and anti-phagocytic properties to cryptococcal GXM.

Purpose: Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a common, debilitating side effect in cancer survivors. This study aimed to assess the characteristics of quantitative sensory testing (QST) and its correlation with patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in cancer patients with and without CIPN.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional analysis using baseline data from two clinical trials in solid tumor cancer survivors with no CIPN symptoms rated < 2 on a 0-10 Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) or moderate-to-severe CIPN rated ≥ 4 on the NRS.

Motivation: The overall association evidence of a genetic variant with multiple traits can be evaluated by cross-phenotype association analysis using summary statistics from genome-wide association studies.
