Clinical Relevance: Horizontal rectus muscle surgeries may cause changes in corneal and anterior segment parameters. Corneal topography is an important device for identifying these alterations.

Background: The aim of this work is to evaluate the effects of horizontal rectus muscle surgeries on corneal topography, anterior chamber parameters and corneal wavefront aberrations.

Investigation of the effects of single and two-muscle horizontal rectus surgeries on macular microvasculature.

Purpose: To investigate the changes in posterior segment hemodynamics caused by horizontal rectus muscle surgeries using the optic coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).

Methods: Patients who underwent at least one horizontal rectus recession, resection, or combination surgery were included. The patients were evaluated with an OCTA preoperatively and 30 days postoperatively.

Substance use disorder is an important mental health problem with increasing frequency. This study aims to investigate the 2D:4D ratio, Dr-I values (right-left differences), alexithymia, aggression, impulsivity, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms in male patients with methamphetamine use disorder (MUD), opioid use disorder (OUD), and healthy controls. The study included a total of 57 male patients diagnosed with OUD, 42 male patients diagnosed with MUD, and 72 healthy male controls.

Characteristics and predictors of family accommodation in Turkish individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Background: Family accommodation (FA) is associated with disease severity and response to treatment rates in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and is therefore particularly important in this patient group. This study investigated the structure of FA and associated factors in a Turkish society sample.

Methods: The study was carried out with 92 patients diagnosed with OCD for at least 1 year, who applied to Alanya ALKU Training and Research Hospital psychiatry outpatient clinic between February 2021 and March 2022.

The effect of psychological inflexibility on health-related quality of life, depression, and anxiety in patients with chronic tinnitus without hearing loss.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between psychological inflexibility, depression, anxiety, and quality of life in patients with chronic tinnitus without hearing loss.

Methods: The study was carried out involving 85 patients with chronic tinnitus without hearing loss and a control group of 80 individuals. All participants completed the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II, the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-Trait, the Beck Depression Inventory, and Short Form-36.

The role of temperament in evaluating the relationship between symptoms and signs in dry eye disease.

Objectives: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the relationship between symptoms and objective findings and dry eye (DE) patients' personalities and levels of depression and anxiety.

Methods: The study group consisted of 67 DE patients who presented to the ophthalmology clinic with symptoms of dry eye disease (DED) and were first diagnosed. Patients underwent a complete ophthalmologic examination, including tear-film break-up time (TBUT), Schirmer 1 and Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI).

Wound healing is a complex cellular and biochemical process and can be affected by several systemic and local factors. In this study, we aimed to discuss the aetiologic factors of non-healing wounds and the management of this complicated process with current information. The medical data of the patients who were admitted to our clinic due to non-healing or chronic wounds were analysed retrospectively.

Retinal and Choroidal Vascular Changes in Eyes with Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome: A Comparative Study Using Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography.

Background: Optical coherence tomography angiography allows a detailed evaluation of retinal and choroidal microvascular structures without the need for a contrast agent. Pseudoexfoliation syndrome is a condition that leads to anatomical and functional losses due to accumulation of degraded abnormal fibrillar material in the intraocular and extraocular tissues. Histopathological studies have shown that the accumulation of Pseudoexfoliation syndrome material in the vascular structures may play a role in different ocular pathologies such as retinal vein occlusion, iris hypoperfusion, anterior segment hypoxia, retinal arterial occlusion, and neovascular glaucoma.

The effects of perioperative antibiotherapy on surgical site infections in sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus treated with rhomboid excision and Limberg transposition procedure.

Pilonidal sinus disease is a common disorder. We aimed to evaluate the effects of perioperative antibiotherapy on surgical site infections in pilonidal sinus patients who were treated with rhomboid excision with Limberg transposition procedure. A total of 104 patients between 18 and 40 years of age (52 males, 52 females) were included in the study.
