Introduction: There is limited data on newborns born to mothers with COVID-19 infection. This multicenter cohort study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and outcomes of neonates born to mothers with and without COVID-19 infection to fill a gap in the literature review.

Methods: The medical records of all neonates in Isfahan, Iran, between October 2020 and March 2021, were retrospectively reviewed.

In this study, we aimed to examine the relationship between 24-hour urine Na and K intakes and clinical findings of migraine in an Iranian sample. In this cross-sectional study, 262 participants, aged 20-50 years, were included with a body mass index (BMI) of 18·5-30 kg/m and a diagnosis of migraine.

The effects of the dietary approaches to stop hypertension (DASH) diet on oxidative stress and clinical indices of migraine patients: a randomized controlled trial.

Aims: The relationship between the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet and oxidative stress (OS) in patients diagnosed with migraine is unknown and remains to be examined. Hence, we conducted a parallel-group, randomized controlled trial to investigate this issue.

Methods: Of the 102 women who met all the inclusion criteria, 51 individuals were randomized to the DASH diet group and 51 to the usual dietary advice group to receive allocated intervention for three months.

Successful Management of a Suspected Case of Meperidine-Induced Anaphylaxis in Cesarean Delivery.

Introduction: Meperidine is known as the gold standard drug for shivering after spinal anesthesia (SA). This drug has been used widely and safely during the Cesarean Section (CS).

Case Presentation: This case report presents an anaphylaxis reaction to a single intravenous dose of 25 mg meperidine, aiming to control shivering during CS under SA a few minutes after surgical incision.

Clinical evaluation of SARS-CoV-2 lung HRCT and RT-PCR Techniques: Towards risk factor based diagnosis of infectious diseases.

This study uses image analysis techniques for comparative analysis of the lung HRCT features and RT-PCR of 325 suspected patients to COVID-19 pneumonia. Our findings propose more caution in the interpretation of RT-PCR data, promoting, instead, also the quantification of age and sex-based risk factors using HRCT images. Statistical analysis of our methodology reveals a direct relation between intensity, skewness and kurtosis of the radiological features and the gender of patients.

Diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography for diagnosis of elbow fractures in children.

Background: Elbow injuries and fractures are a common pathology in the pediatric emergency unit. X-ray and CT scan of the elbow are the standard diagnostic procedures, which increase exposure to radiation in children. Previous studies have shown that fractures can also be visualized by ultrasound (US); thus, this study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of elbow US compared with radiography for the diagnosis of elbow fracture in children.

Validity and reliability of the Iranian preterm birth experiences and satisfaction scale: A methodological and cross-sectional study.

Women's experience and satisfaction with childbirth care are increasingly being addressed by health care providers, managers, and policymakers. Due to need for a validated special scale for assessing satisfaction of women with preterm birth, we aimed to translate and adapt the first specific tool, Preterm Birth Experiences and Satisfaction Scale (P-BESS), into Persian language and evaluate its psychometric properties. A methodological and cross-sectional study was conducted in two tertiary levels of maternal hospitals in Tabriz.

Nrf2, as a master regulator of antioxidant response elements by activating cytoprotective genes expression, is decreased oxidative stress that associated with hyperglycemia and increases insulin sensitivity. the aim of this study was to assess whether the combination therapy of SPTC along with exercise or metformin moderate oxidative stress related liver injurie with more favorable effects in the treatment of AGE rich diet-induced type 2 diabetic mice.
