Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex disorder characterized by elevated androgen levels, menstrual irregularities, and polycystic morphology of the ovaries. Affecting 6-10% of women in childbearing age, PCOS is a leading cause of infertility worldwide. In recent years, there has been a growing acknowledgment of the involvement of adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in the development of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Cold tumors lack antitumor immunity and are resistant to therapy, representing a major challenge in cancer medicine. Because of the immunosuppressive spirit of the tumor microenvironment (TME), this form of tumor has a low response to immunotherapy, radiotherapy, and also chemotherapy. Cold tumors have low infiltration of immune cells and a high expression of co-inhibitory molecules, such as immune checkpoints and immunosuppressive molecules.

In this work, the ability of two active carbon adsorbents made of walnut shell and peach kernel by two chemical and physical methods (totally 4 different types of activated carbon) in treatment of oily wastewater including diesel, gasoline, used oil or engine lubricant has been compared. The results show that the chemical activated peach carbon active with 97% hardness has provided the highest hardness and physical activated walnut carbon active has obtained the lowest hardness value (87%).

Exosomes are nanometric membrane vesicles of late endosomal origin that are released by most, if not all, cell types as a sophisticated means of intercellular communication. They play an essential role in the movement of materials and information between cells, transport a variety of proteins, lipids, RNA, and other vital data, and over time, they become an essential part of the drug delivery system and a marker for the early detection of many diseases. Dendritic cells have generated interest in cancer immunotherapy due to their ability to initiate and modify effective immune responses.

In this research, we present a post-synthetic method for synthesizing a novel nanomagnetic Cu Schiff base complex and investigate its efficiency in catalytic organic conversion reactions. Various spectroscopic analyses were employed to characterize the physiochemical characteristics of the resulting nanocomposite. The experimental results successfully demonstrate the catalytic application of the prepared Cu-complex in the preparation of pyrano[2,3-]pyrazole heterocycles.

A severe global health concern is the rising incidence and mortality rate of colorectal cancer (CRC). Chemotherapy, which is typically used to treat CRC, is known to have limited specificity and can have noticeable side effects. A paradigm shift in cancer treatment has been brought about by the development of targeted therapies, which has led to the appearance of pharmacological agents with improved efficacy and decreased toxicity.

The alarming pace of environmental degradation necessitates the treatment of wastewater from the oil industry in order to ensure the long-term sustainability of human civilization. Electrocoagulation has emerged as a promising method for optimizing the removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD) from wastewater obtained from oil refineries. Therefore, in this study, electrocoagulation was experimentally investigated, and a single-factorial approach was employed to identify the optimal conditions, taking into account various parameters such as current density, pH, COD concentration, electrode surface area, and NaCl concentration.

Moringa oleifera (MO) phytochemicals and therapeutic properties improve hyperglycemia and treat type 2 diabetes. Thus, this study examined the effects of MO leaf capsules on blood glucose management in type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM) and hypertension and their safety. A prospective placebo-controlled experiment randomly assigned 24 patients to receive 3g and 6g of MO leaf capsules twice a day or a placebo for three months.

Autoimmune diseases are complex, chronic inflammatory conditions initiated by the loss of immunological tolerance to self-antigens. Nowadays, there is no effective and useful therapy for autoimmune diseases, and the existing medications have some limitations due to their nonspecific targets and side effects. During the last few decades, it has been established that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have immunomodulatory functions.

Natural killer (NK) cells are innate immune cells with cytotoxic potentials to kill cancerous cells in several mechanisms, which could be implied for cancer therapy. While potent, their antitumor activities specially for solid tumors impaired by inadequate tumor infiltration, suppressive tumor microenvironment, cancer-associated stroma cells, and tumor-supportive immune cells. Therefore, manipulating or reprogramming these barriers by prospective strategies might improve current immunotherapies in the clinic or introduce novel NK-based immunotherapies.

The current research concentrated on the Co-precipitation synthesis of g-CN (CN), ZnO, ZnO/CN, and Co-doped ZnO/CN nanocomposite, as well as the solar light enhanced photocatalytic treatment of Reactive Red 120 (RR120) from genuine wool textile effluent. The 3D flower-like structure of Co-doped ZnO distributed on the surface of CN thin sheets, according to structural studies employing XRD and SEM examinations Electrochemical experiments exhibited that the Co-doped ZnO/CN nanocomposite has a large electroactive surface area. The optical band-gap values of CN, ZnO, ZnO/CN, and Co-doped ZnO/CN nanocomposites were 2.

Objectives: Diabetic neuropathic pain (DNP) is a debilitating symptom of diabetic neuropathy which seriously impairs patient's quality of life. Currently, there is no specific therapy for DNP except for duloxetine and gabapentin that show limited utility in alleviating DNP. The present review aims to discuss the central role of protein kinases in the pathogenesis of DNP and their therapeutic modulation.

Purpose: Colorectal cancers are composed of heterogeneous cell populations in the concepts of genetic and functional degrees that among them cancer stem cells are identified with their self-renewal and stemness capability mediating primary tumorigenesis, metastasize, therapeutic resistance, and tumor recurrence. Therefore, understanding the key mechanisms of stemness in colorectal cancer stem cells (CRCSCs) provides opportunities to discover new treatments or improve existing therapeutic regimens.
Methods: We review the biological significance of stemness and the results of potential CRCSC-based targeted immunotherapies.

This work's goal was the fabrication of a graphene oxide-based nanocomposite biosensor for the determination of bevacizumab (BVZ) as a medicine for colorectal cancer in human serum and wastewater fluids. For the fabrication electrode, graphene oxide was electrodeposited on GCE (GO/GCE), and then DNA and monoclonal anti-bevacizumab antibodies were immobilized on the GO/GCE surface, respectively (Ab/DNA/GO/GCE). Structural characterization using XRD, SEM, and Raman spectroscopy confirmed the binding of DNA to GO nanosheets and the interaction of Ab with the DNA/GO array.
