Inflammation, driven by various stimuli such as pathogens, cellular damage, or vascular injury, plays a central role in numerous acute and chronic conditions. Current treatments are being re-evaluated, prompting interest in naturally occurring compounds like kaempferol, a flavonoid prevalent in fruits and vegetables, for their anti-inflammatory properties. This study explores the therapeutic potential of kaempferol, focusing on its ability to modulate pro-inflammatory cytokines and its broader effects on inflammatory signaling pathways.

Periodontitis (PD) is a chronic gum illness that may be hard to cure for a number of reasons, including the fact that no one knows what causes it, the side effects of anti-microbial treatment, and how various kinds of bacteria interact with one another. As a result, novel therapeutic approaches for PD treatment must be developed. Additionally, supplementary antibacterial regimens, including local and systemic medication administration of chemical agents, are necessary for deep pockets to assist with mechanical debridement of tooth surfaces.

The density functional theory (DFT) method is applied to investigate the ability of transition metals porphyrins induced in carbon nanocone (TM-PCNC, TM = Ti, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn) for identifying and eliminating undesirable SM molecules from the surrounding. The sulfur mustard is effectively adsorbed onto the surface of nanocones through a chemical process. Based on the DFT calculations, the Ti-PCNC displays an appropriate percentage change in energy gap (%ΔE = 11.

Neuroblastoma is a cancer that occurs due to abnormal development of the sympathetic nervous system. The dysregulation of miR-9 and miR-222 plays a crucial role in neuroblastoma development. These microRNAs have a significant relationship with PTEN, caspase-9, and MMP14, which can potentially form the basis for the specific diagnosis and treatment of this disease.

Cancer has a high rate of incidence and mortality throughout the world. Although several conventional approaches have been developed for the treatment of cancer, such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and thermal therapy, they have remarkable disadvantages which result in inefficient treatment of cancer. For example, immunogenicity, prolonged treatment, non-specificity, metastasis and high cost of treatment, are considered as the major drawbacks of chemotherapy.

The human gut microbiome is a dynamic and intricate ecosystem, composed of trillions of microorganisms that play a pivotal role in maintaining overall health and well-being. However, the gut microbiome is constantly exposed to various environmental factors, including the bile produced by the liver, which can significantly impact its composition and function. Bile acids, secreted by the liver and stored in the gallbladder, modulate the gut microbiome, influencing its composition and function.

Background: The understanding of the antibiotic resistance status of environmental nonO1/nonO139 V. cholerae [NOVC] in relation to other illnesses, which can vary in severity from mild to life-threatening, is limited. However, it is important to note that NOVC-related infections are increasing and serve as a significant illustration of emerging human diseases associated with climate change.

One of the main health issues in the modern world is cancer, with breast cancer (BC) as one of the most common types of malignancies. Different environmental and genetic risk factors are involved in the development of BC. One of the primary genes implicated in cancer development is the p53 gene, which is also known as the "gatekeeper" gene.

Despite multiple diagnostic and therapeutic advances, including surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy, cancer preserved its spot as a global health concern. Prompt cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis depend on the discovery of new biomarkers and therapeutic strategies. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are considered as a stable, conserved, abundant, and varied group of RNA molecules that perform multiple roles such as gene regulation.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most frequent age-associated neurodegenerative disorder. Presence of α-synuclein-containing aggregates in the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc) and loss of dopaminergic (DA) neurons are among the characteristic of PD. One of the hallmarks of PD pathophysiology is chronic neuroinflammation.

The therapeutic role of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) supplementation among infertile women with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) is still unclear. Objective evaluation of different ovarian reserve tests (ORTs) such as serum anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and antral follicle count (AFC) in women with diminished ovarian reserve is required. This is a cross-sectional study performed in Mosul city, Iraq, with 122 infertile women who had been diagnosed with DOR.

The healing process at a wound is made up of many types of cells, growth factors, the extracellular matrix, nerves and blood vessels all interacting with each other in complex and changing ways. Microbial colonization and proliferation are possible at the place of injury, which makes infection more likely. Because of this, any cut has a chance of getting an infection.

Pulmonary injury is one of the key restricting factors for the therapy of malignancies with chemotherapy or following radiotherapy for chest cancers. The lung is a sensitive organ to some severely toxic antitumor drugs, consisting of bleomycin and alkylating agents. Furthermore, treatment with radiotherapy may drive acute and late adverse impacts on the lung.

That is, in this project, the potential of using α-phographene (α-POG) both for adsorption and detection of five types of the most important air pollutant gases containing SO, AsH, CFH, NO, and CO species were investigated. The results of the time dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculations indicate that during the adsorption of NO, and SO by the sorbent, big redshifts occur (up to 866.

Selecting an appropriate anode material (AM) has been considered to be a crucial initial step in advancing high-performance batteries. Within this piece of research, we examine the suitability of the BCNA monolayer (referred to as BCNAML) as an AM by first-principles calculations. The BCNAML exhibits metallic behavior consistently, even with varying concentrations of Na atoms, making it an ideal choice for battery usages.
