Hydatid disease, primarily affecting liver and lungs, poses challenges with isolated renal cysts. A 29-year-old female with intermittent right flank pain and urinary burning was diagnosed with a Bosniak category 4 hydatid cyst (HC) after positive echinococcus antibodies. Imaging confirmed the diagnosis, leading to a three-month albendazole treatment followed by right nephrectomy and partial liver resection.

Background: Managing lower calyceal stones poses significant challenges. Flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy (FURSL) are standard techniques for treating large stones (10-20 mm).
Objective: This study evaluates the role of the T-tilt position (45-degree Trendelenburg with a 45-degree lateral tilt against the side of the stone) and hydrodilatation of the lower calyx with 50 cc saline injection as needed in optimizing stone-free rates and safety during FURSL for lower calyceal stones.

Conventional complete dentures frequently lead to problems like instability and insufficient retention, especially in the lower jaw. Fortunately, the introduction of dental implants has transformed the way we approach edentulous patients, as they now offer support and enhanced retention for removable prostheses, thus revolutionizing their treatment.

Introduction: Insulin degludec (degludec) has proven benefits in type 2 diabetes (T2D), in terms of improved glycaemic control, low risk of hypoglycaemia, and flexibility in dosing time. This prospective non-interventional UPDATES study aimed to investigate whether results obtained from randomised clinical trials and other real-world studies with degludec are generalisable to patients with T2D in routine clinical practice in Saudi Arabia.
Methods: Eligible adults (n = 561) with T2D received degludec for 26-34 weeks, at physicians' discretion and in accordance with local routine clinical practice.
