A novel, green, efficient, and stable magnetically heterogeneous nanocatalyst was developed by immobilizing butanesulfonic acid (BuSOH) onto the surface of MFeO magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs). The resulting core-shell structure of the MFeO@PDA@BuSOH nanocatalyst was thoroughly characterized using various analytical techniques, including Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Vibrating Sample Magnetometry (VSM), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis. A nanocatalyst was used to synthesize 2-benzopyrazine-aminoimidazole hybrid derivatives through a domino multicomponent Knoevenagel-condensation-cyclization reaction (5a-p) in an environmentally friendly manner.

Orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) is a critical process in dental alignment, driven by the application of calibrated orthodontic forces. This study delves into the intricate molecular and cellular mechanisms by which vitamin D3 influences OTM. Vitamin D3 is identified as a critical regulator in bone metabolism, enhancing osteoblast activity and bone formation while also modulating osteoclast quantity and RANKL expression, essential for the remodeling of the alveolar bone.

We designed and prepared a novel -heterocycle-based nanocatalyst by a post synthetic method, namely the [FeO@DAA-BTrzPhen-Cu(ii)] composite. In this method, bistriazolyl-phenanthroline groups were stepwise synthesized on an FeO substrate and used as a tetradentate nitrogenous ligand for coordinating to copper ions. The obtained nanocomposite was well characterized using FT-IR, PXRD, TGA, EDAX, ICP-OES, EDX-mapping, SEM, TEM, VSM and BET analyses, which confirm the formation of a thermostable crystalline spherical particle morphology with the particle size in the range of 17 nm to 25 nm and a magnetization value of 42 emu g.

(Arecaceae), commonly known as "small wild date palm", is regarded as one of the underutilized fruit crops in South India. Methanol extract of ripened fruits (PPRF) was analyzed for in vitro porcine pancreatic alpha-amylase (PPAA) and rat small intestine alpha-glucosidase (RIAG) inhibition activities, and through gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. The GC-MS analysis showed the presence of 25 phytoconstituents from PPRF which was further assessed on the docking behavior of five targeted enzymes diabetes mellitus (DM) namely (i) human aldose reductase, (ii) protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B, (iii) pancreatic alpha-amylase, (iv) peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, and (v) dipeptidyl peptidase IV by using the AutoDock Vina method.

This method is accomplished through the one-pot multi-component reaction of 2-thiobarbituric acid, NHOAc and aldehydes utilizing Ni-TMEDA@βSiO@αSiO@FeO as a novel mesoporous nanomagnetic catalyst at room temperature. This protocol is one of the few reports of the preparation of these derivatives without the use of conventional heating as well as energies such as microwave and ultrasound radiation.

A reductive filter paper for selective nitro reduction has been prepared by modification of a pristine cellulose filter paper by Pd/C nanoparticles, as a portable catalyst. The reaction was performed in two different set-ups including (i) filtration and (ii) sealed systems, in the presence of ammonium formate and generated hydrogen gas reducing agents, respectively. In the sealed system in the presence of H gas, the halogenated nitroarenes were completely reduced, while in the filtration system, different derivatives of the nitroarenes were selectively reduced to aryl amines.
