Evaluating educational climate (EC) is imperative for ensuring postgraduate trainees' competencies and quality in residency training programs. This study assessed the EC experiences of pathology postgraduate residents (PGRs) during their postgraduate training in pathology residency programs-a cross-sectional study design assigned EC scores in the pathology residency program at a prestigious institution in Islamabad, which were measured using the Dutch Residency Educational Climate Test (D-RECT) questionnaire. Scores from the D-RECT were employed to conduct descriptive statistics and comparison of means across groups to evaluate EC scores by years of training and compared to assess where the differences were located.

Neurobrucellosis is a serious focal brucella infection. Ventriculitis is a special form of central nervous infection where pyogenic infection of the ependymal linings hinders antibiotics' accessibility to the cerebrospinal fluids and leads to protracted infection. We present a case of a 37-year-old Shepherd who had low-grade fever for 5 months followed by a brief history of vomiting, abdominal pain, and gait imbalance.

Local anesthesia is a technique that temporarily desensitizes a specific body area, typically for a surgical procedure, dental work, or pain management. It is described as a sensation loss in a specific area of the body due to depression of excitation in the nerve endings or due to the inhibition of the conduction process within the peripheral nerves. It allows for safer and more comfortable medical procedures, reducing the need for general anesthesia and facilitating faster recovery.

Vitamin D is a vital nutrient that plays a significant part in several physiological processes within the human body, including calcium metabolism, bone health, immune function, and cell growth and differentiation. It is obtained mainly through exposure to sunlight but can be acquired from certain foods and supplements as well. Vitamin D deficiency (VDD) could be the risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), such as heart disease and stroke.

Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a complex multifactorial disease that results in multisystemic inflammation of the small- and medium-sized arteries. The exact pathogenesis of this syndrome is poorly understood, but it is postulated to result from a combination of eosinophilic dysfunction, genetic predisposition, and the development of autoantibodies after exposure to an unknown stimulus. We describe a case of new-onset EGPA following the third dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine in an infection-naive middle-aged man with a background history of allergic respiratory symptoms.

Background: Patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases (ARD) are at a potentially higher risk for COVID-19 infection complications. Given their inherent altered immune system and the use of immunomodulatory medications, vaccine immunogenicity could be unpredictable with a suboptimal or even an exaggerated immunological response. The aim of this study is to provide real-time data on the emerging evidence of COVID-19 vaccines' efficacy and safety in patients with ARDs.

Diabetic sensorimotor polyneuropathy (DSPN) is a serious long-term complication of diabetes, which may lead to foot ulceration and amputation. Among the screening tools for DSPN, the Michigan neuropathy screening instrument (MNSI) is frequently deployed, but it lacks a straightforward rating of severity. A DSPN severity grading system has been built and simulated for the MNSI, utilizing longitudinal data captured over 19 years from the Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications (EDIC) trial.
