Using -rhizobia- interaction networks, we address first the soil invasion success of , and second, we report either -rhizobia partnership should form an isolated module within the symbiosis interaction network. Different indexes were used to determine model invasion success and the network topology. Our results indicated that invasion decreased soil microbial biomass, basal respiration, and enzymatic activities.

Cyclin-dependent kinase 13 (CDK13) belongs to the cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) family that is actively involved in transcription regulation and RNA splicing. CDK13 binds with its partner, cyclin K, to regulate several biological processes. CDK13 and cyclin K complex phosphorylates RNA pol II carboxyl-terminal domain (CTD) at several serine residues, creating transcription elongation.

Crohn's disease (CD) entails intricate interactions with gut microbiome diversity, richness, and composition. The relationship between CD and gut microbiome is not clearly understood and has not been previously characterized in Saudi Arabia. We performed statistical analysis about various factors influencing CD activity and microbiota dysbiosis, including diagnosis, treatment, and its impact on their quality of life as well as high-throughput metagenomic V3-V4 16S rRNA encoding gene hypervariable region of a total of eighty patients with CD, both in its active and inactive state with healthy controls.

In this study, a nested grouped random parameter negative binomial framework is proposed to model crash counts at the segment level, a three-level longitudinal framework. The proposed model accounts for correlations along county routes and over time and thus includes a time variable, the year index, to analyze crash counts. The model is applied to crashes on undivided two-lane arterial roads in Ohio from 2012 to 2017.

Integrin-linked kinase (ILK), a β1-integrin cytoplasmic domain interacting protein, supports multi-protein complex formation. ILK-1 is involved in neurodegenerative diseases by promoting neuro-inflammation. On the other hand, its overexpression induces epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), which is a major hallmark of cancer and activates various factors associated with a tumorigenic phenotype.

Piece selection policy in dynamic P2P networks play crucial role and avoid the last piece problem. BitTorrent uses rarest-first piece selection mechanism to deal with this problem, but its efficacy is limited because each peer only has a local view of piece rareness. The problem of piece section is multiple objectives.

Y-doped ceria, YCeO, is an oxide ion conductor that shows n-type conductivity under a small applied voltage. With increasing voltage, resistive switching by 2-3 orders of magnitude occurs that is reversible with some hysteresis and is enhanced in atmospheres of reduced pO. The switching is a bulk effect, is not associated with Schottky barriers or with a crystallographic transition, occurs rapidly after a premonitory onset period depending on conditions and shows characteristics of a Mott transition.

Cancer patients face a significant clinical and socio-economic burden due to increased incidence, mortality, and poor survival. Factors like late diagnosis, recurrence, drug resistance, severe side effects, and poor bioavailability limit the scope of current therapies. There is a need for novel, cost-effective, and safe diagnostic methods, therapeutics to overcome recurrence and drug resistance, and drug delivery vehicles with enhanced bioavailability and less off-site toxicity.

Mitogen-activated protein kinase 7 (MAPK7) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that belongs to the MAPK family and plays a vital role in various cellular processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, gene transcription, apoptosis, metabolism, and cell survival. The elevated expression of MAPK7 has been associated with the onset and progression of multiple aggressive tumors in humans, underscoring the potential of targeting MAPK7 pathways in therapeutic research. This pursuit holds promise for the advancement of anticancer drug development by developing potential MAPK7 inhibitors.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease linked to memory impairment. A current investigation was performed to assess the neuroprotective effect of Diospyrin, a novel therapeutic agent, for the curing of Alzheimer's disease. For this purpose, in-vitro acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitory assays and antioxidant studies were conducted, whereas in-vivo studies involved different behavioral animal models tests such as elevated plus maze (EPM), morris water maze (MWM) and paddling Y-maze test.

Mercury is a toxic environmental element, so it was necessary to prepare a new, highly efficient, cheap sorbent to remove it. A mesoporous thioacetamide/chitosan (MTA/CS) was manufactured via a simplistic strategy; the chitin deacetylation to gain chitosan (CS) and the addition of thioacetamide. The as-prepared MTA/CS was characterized using X-ray diffraction, EDX, SEM, FTIR, and BET surface analysis.

A numerical approach based on shifted Jacobi-Gauss collocation method for solving mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations is introduced. The novel technique with shifted Jacobi-Gauss nodes is applied to reduce the mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations to a system of algebraic equations that has an easy solved. The present algorithm is extended to solve the one and two-dimensional mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations.

Congenital cataract is one of the most genetically heterogeneous ocular conditions with different genes involved in its etiology. Here, we describe the analysis of a new candidate gene of a congenital bilateral cataract associated with polymalformative syndrome, moderate global developmental delay, microcephaly, axial hypotonia, intrauterine growth restriction and facial dysmorphism for two affected siblings. Molecular analysis included exome sequencing and genome wide homozygosity mapping revealed a region of homozygosity shared by the two affected siblings at 10q11.
