In the multimodal strategy context, to implement healthcare-associated infection prevention, bundles are one of the most commonly used methods to adapt guidelines in the local context and transfer best practices into routine clinical care. One of the most important measures to prevent surgical site infections is surgical antibiotic prophylaxis (SAP). This narrative review aims to present a bundle for the correct SAP administration and evaluate the evidence supporting it.

Background: Even though different subtypes of spontaneous ICH are frequently linked to a poor prognosis, their causes, pathological features, and prognoses vary. Atypical intracerebral hemorrhage is the subtype of spontaneous ICH that usually occurs due to an underlying localized vascular lesion. It is unrelated to systemic vascular risk factors, mostly affects children and young adults and is associated with a relatively good outcome.

Gender as a Moderator of Spirituality and Spiritual Care in ICU Nurses During COVID-19 Pandemic.

Background: Earlier research has found that female healthcare providers often report greater spirituality and spiritual care than males. This would evoke attention toward factors contributing to such differences, particularly gender.

Neonatal Iatrogenic Calcinosis Cutis and Heterotopic Calcification Causing Peripheral Brachial Palsy: Case Report and Review of Literature.

Case: Iatrogenic heterotopic calcification and calcinosis cutis secondary to extravasations of intravenous calcium is very rare. We report a case of a neonate treated with intravenous calcium resulting in extravasations causing heterotrophic calcification and calcinosis cutis with subcutaneous mass causing perinatal peripheral brachial palsy.

Conclusion: We highlight these rare potential complications of calcium extravasations and recommend conservative treatment and the avoidance of the temptation of surgical excision of any bony lumps as they resolve spontaneously in time.

Using Social Media Platforms to Enhance the Delivery of a Childbirth Education Program.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a childbirth education program on self-efficacy and state anxiety among first-time Jordanian mothers.

Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted using pretest/posttest design with 128 low-risk, first-time Jordanian mothers. The experimental group (N = 64) received a childbirth education program, while those in the control group (N = 64) received standard care in antenatal clinics.

Objective: This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a childbirth preparation course on birth outcomes among nulliparous Jordanian women.

Design: A randomized control trial pre-test/post-test design was used to assess the effects of a childbirth preparation course conducted in a military hospital in Amman, Jordan from 1 July to 15 September 2016. A total of 133 low-risk nulliparous women were recruited and randomly assigned to either (1) a control group who received standard care in antenatal clinics or (2) an intervention group who received standard care in antenatal clinics as well as a childbirth preparation course specifically designed for the purpose of this study.

Comparison of removal torques between laser-etched and modified sandblasted acid-etched Ti implant surfaces in rabbit tibias.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of two different implant surface treatments on initial bone connection by comparing the Removal Torque Values (RTQs) at 7 and 10 days after chemically modified, sandblasted, large-grit and acid-etched (modSLA), and Laser-etched (LE) Ti implant placements.
