Background: We aimed to identify the central lifestyle, the most impactful among lifestyle factor clusters; the central health outcome, the most impactful among health outcome clusters; and the bridge lifestyle, the most strongly connected to health outcome clusters, across 29 countries to optimise resource allocation for local holistic health improvements.

Methods: From July 2020 to August 2021, we surveyed 16 461 adults across 29 countries who self-reported changes in 18 lifestyle factors and 13 health outcomes due to the pandemic. Three networks were generated by network analysis for each country: lifestyle, health outcome, and bridge networks.

Revitalizing Soybean Plants in Saline, Cd-Polluted Soil Using Si-NPs, Biochar, and PGPR.

Excessive irrigation of saline-alkaline soils with Cd-contaminated wastewater has resulted in deterioration of both soil and plant quality. To an investigate this, a study was conducted to explore the effects of biochar (applied at 10 t ha), PGPRs ( (USDA 110) + at 1:1 ratio), and Si-NPs (25 mg L) on soybean plants grown in saline-alkali soil irrigated with wastewater. The results showed that the trio-combination of biochar with PGPRs, (as soil amendments) and Si-NPs (as foliar spraying), was more effective than individual or coupled applications in reducing Cd bioavailability in the soil, minimizing its absorption, translocation and bioconcentration in soybean tissues.

Development of a Novel Synchronous Spectrofluorimetric Method Coupled With Chemometric Modelling for Ultrasensitive Analysis of Tenofovir and Dolutegravir With Implication for Pharmacokinetic Studies.

This study introduces a novel synchronous spectrofluorimetry coupled with chemometric tools for the determination of tenofovir and dolutegravir antiretroviral drugs. Utilizing partial least squares regression (PLS) fine-tuned by genetic algorithm as variable selection tool, the developed models demonstrate greater sensitivity, cost-effectiveness, and reduced environmental impact compared to traditional HPLC methods. Synthesis of Schiff bases based on Chitosan, thermal stability and evaluation of antimicrobial and antitumor activities.

A Schiff base of Chitosan was prepared by condensing of the Chitosan (CS) with six aromatic aldehydes and confirmed by FT-IR, NMR, XRD, TGA, and DSC. XRD results showed the disappeared of peaks at 2θ = 10° for CS and appeared one peaks at around 2θ of 23° for Schiff bases, while TGA was demonstrated that the thermal stability of CS has improved after the modification with the corresponding aldehyde. Also, DSC shows endothermal peak of CS at 100 °C due to the loss of water and second thermal event related to the decomposition of amine units with an exothermic peak at 295 °C, while Schiff bases shows endothermal peak around 70-95 °C which is related to the loss of water for all samples and the second exothermic peak around 260-280 °C is related to the decomposition of the amine group in the polymer units.

Development and Validation of a Green Spectrofluorimetric Method for Nateglinide Quantification: Utilizing AR87 as a Probe With Box-Behnken Optimization and Quantum Mechanical Calculations.

In this study, a sensitive and selective spectrofluorimetric method was developed for the determination of the antidiabetic drug nateglinide based on its reaction with the xanthene dye acid red 87 (AR87). A fluorescence quenching process was observed for the AR87 at 545 nm upon the addition of nateglinide, which was exploited for the quantitative analysis. The reaction mechanism was investigated using quantum mechanical calculations suggesting a transfer between the electron-rich AR87 and the electron-deficient nateglinide.
