Given its similarities to Alzheimer's disease in humans, CDS has gained attention as a target for nutrition-based interventions aimed at preserving cognitive function.

Persistent NK cell deficiency associated with pulmonary cryptococcosis.

We describe pulmonary cryptococcosis in a 28-year-old previously healthy man. Exhaustive immunological investigations revealed a primary NK cell deficiency associated with a secondary impaired anti-Cryptococcus CD8 lymphocyte response and the expansion of a CD8Vβ14 + T cell clone. This case illustrates the potential role of NK cells in immunity against Cryptococcus.

This event-related potential (ERP) study investigates whether the neuronal responses to the perception of the /e/-/ε/ vowel merger in Northern French speakers show evidence for discriminating /e/ and /ε/ phonemes after interacting with a speaker who produced this contrast. Northern French participants engaged in an interactive map task and we measured their ERP responses elicited after the presentation of a last syllable which was either phonemically identical to or different from preceding syllables.

We have assessed antiviral activity and induction of protective immunity of fusion-inhibitory lipopeptides derived from the C-terminal heptad-repeat domain of SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein in transgenic mice expressing human ACE2 (K18-hACE2). The lipopeptides block SARS-CoV-2 infection in cell lines and lung-derived organotypic cultures. Intranasal administration in mice allows the maintenance of homeostatic transcriptomic immune profile in lungs, prevents body-weight loss, decreases viral load and shedding, and protects mice from death caused by SARS-CoV-2 variants.

Visual collective behaviors on spherical robots.

The implementation of collective motion, traditionally, disregard the limited sensing capabilities of an individual, to instead assuming an omniscient perception of the environment. This study implements a visual flocking model in a ``robot-in-the-loop'' approach to reproduce these behaviors with a flock composed of 10 independent spherical robots. The model achieves robotic collective motion by only using panoramic visual information of each robot, such as retinal position, optical size and optic flow of the neighboring robots.
