Background: The spectacular decline in pollinators and their prominent role in pollination of natural and cultivated plants has stimulated research on pollinating insects. Over the last ten years, much ecological research has been carried out on bees, often generating a large volume of specimens and increasing the importance of entomological collections. Here, we present the bee collection of the IMBE laboratory (Marseille, France) after ten years of study of plant-pollinator networks.

Purpose: Asymmetric anterior closing-wedge high tibial osteotomy (ACWHTO) allows correction of both excessive posterior tibial slope (PTS) and varus deformity. However, the complexity of this surgery requires a high degree of accuracy, which is less likely to be achieved with standard instrumentations. This study aimed to determine the accuracy of 3D patient-specific cutting guides (PSCGs) to provide the accurate planned correction in the frontal and sagittal planes.

Purpose: To compare clinical and radiological outcomes of medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO) using two different alignment methods: the alignment rod (AR) versus the gap measurement (GM) method. The primary outcome was to report the surgical accuracy of coronal plane corrections in each method.
Methods: Patients who underwent MOWHTO with either AR or GM method between 2014 and 2022 at a single institution, with a minimum of 2 years of follow-up, were included.

INSERM UMR_S 999 Pulmonary Hypertension: Pathophysiology and Novel Therapies Le Plessis Robinson France.
Background: The primary genetic risk factor for heritable pulmonary arterial hypertension is the presence of monoallelic mutations in the gene. The incomplete penetrance of mutations implies that additional triggers are necessary for pulmonary arterial hypertension occurrence. Pulmonary artery stenosis directly raises pulmonary artery pressure, and the redirection of blood flow to unobstructed arteries leads to endothelial dysfunction and vascular remodeling.

Background: Hoverflies are among the most important insect pollinators and there is documented evidence of a recent decline in their populations. To trace the past distributions of hoverfly species, verified records of historical collections are essential.
New Information: Here, we provide data on 1071 specimens of hoverflies collected or received by Jean Timon-David and hosted at the Marseille Natural History Museum, France.

Lysosomal exoglycosidases are responsible for processing endocytosed glycans from the non-reducing end to produce the corresponding monosaccharides. Genetic mutations in a particular lysosomal glycosidase may result in accumulation of its particular substrate, which may cause diverse lysosomal storage disorders. The identification of effective therapeutic modalities to treat these diseases is a major yet poorly realised objective in biomedicine.

Pulmonary involvement of IgG4-associated disease is a rare condition with no codified treatment apart from steroid administration. We report here the case of a patient with pulmonary involvement of IgG4-RD successfully managed with Rituximab, in induction and maintenance therapy. This original case could support the use of Rituximab in rare situations of steroid-resistant or steroid-dependent pulmonary IgG4-RD.

In this paper, we study the gains and losses incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. We distinguish between the effects of the pandemic and those of the health measures implemented to reduce the death toll, notably "the lockdown." Our theoretical model is focused on within-sector firm heterogeneity and involves imperfect competition in a partial equilibrium setting.

Endothelial repair plays a key role in the development of atherosclerosis. The objective was to examine associations between TL and proliferative dynamics of endothelial colony-forming cells (ECFCs), which behave as progenitor cells displaying endothelial repair activity.

Background: In immune-mediated thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (iTTP), patients develop an immune response against the multidomain enzyme ADAMTS13. ADAMTS13 consists of a metalloprotease (M) and disintegrin-like (D) domain, 8 thrombospondin type 1 repeats (T1-T8), a cysteine-rich (C), a spacer (S), and 2 CUB domains (CUB1-2). Previous epitope mapping studies have used relatively large overlapping ADAMTS13 fragments.

To appreciate differences in benthic bacterial community composition at the relatively pristine Tuvem and the anthropogenically-influenced Divar mangrove ecosystems in Goa, India, parallel tag sequencing of the V6 region of 16S rDNA was carried out. We hypothesize that availability of extraneously-derived anthropogenic substrates could act as a stimulatant but not a deterrent to promote higher bacterial diversity at Divar. Our observations revealed that the phylum Proteobacteria was dominant at both locations comprising 43-46% of total tags.
