Background: Cognitive function impairment (CFI) and the Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI) were investigated in this study.
Methods: Participants from the 2011-2014 cycles of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were chosen to assess cognitive function using the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease Word Learning Test, the Animal Fluency Test, and the Digit Symbol Substitution Test. Participants scored below the 25% percentile of any of the three tests were defined as having cognitive function impairment.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system primarily mediated by CD4 T helper cells. This study investigated the dynamic changes of natural killer (NK) cells and follicular T helper (Tfh) cells and their associations in relapsing-remitting MS patients. The findings revealed inverse relationships between NK cells and CD4 T cells or Tfh cells.

The use of cosmetics in the crowd has the long-term characteristics. The adverse reactions of cosmetics reported in other country in the world suggest that human patch tests and short-term human using test may not be sufficient to evaluate the safety of high-risk new cosmetic raw ingredients, and long-term human using test should be conducted for evaluation. Therefore, this article reviews the key factors that affect long-term human trial trials, such as site of use, single-use amount, frequency of use, duration of use, and subject conditions, providing supportive evidence for standardized safety evaluation standards for long-term human using test of cosmetics.

Background: Surgically treated anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries may be a waivable condition and allow return to full flight status, but waivers are based on expert opinion rather than recent published data. The purpose of this study was to evaluate return to flight after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) in male military aircrews with ACL injuries and to identify factors that affect flight clearance.
Method: A single-center retrospective review was conducted by the authors for all active-duty aircrew who underwent ACLR at an authorized military medical center from January 2010 to December 2019.

The increasing use and changes in cosmetic ingredients or formula lead to a significant increase for the incidence of adverse reactions as the cosmetics industry is developing rapidly in the last 20 years.

Hypoxia, as a main feature of the tumor microenvironment, has greatly limited the efficacy of photodynamic therapy (PDT), as well as its clinical application. Here, a multifunctional composite nanoplatform, the peptide/Ce6/MnO nanocomposite (), has been constructed to alleviate tumor hypoxia and increase the efficacy of PDT using rationally designed peptide fibrils to encapsulate chlorin e6 (Ce6) inside and to mineralize MnO nanoparticles on the surface. As a result, significantly improved the PDT efficacy by increasing reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, decreasing tumor cell viability, and inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis.

Methods A multiple scattering "FIG" nano contrast agent system was established by conventional nanobubble synthesis method. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of preoperative medical EC glue localization of pulmonary nodules of uncertain nature by minimally invasive surgical resection.
Methods: From December 2017 to December 2019, 18 patients (12 women, 6 men; median age: 54 years)with pulmonary nodules were located using medical EC glue under the guidance of preoperative CT and then resected under video thoracoscopy at Air Force Medical Center of PLA.
