The hyoid bone has been identified as sexually dimorphic in various populations. The current study is a forerunner analysis that used three-dimensional multidetector computed tomography (3D MDCT) images of the hyoid bone to examine sexual dimorphism in the Egyptian population. A total of 300 subjects underwent neck CT imaging, with an additional 60 subjects randomly selected for model validation.

We aimed to assess the serum levels of wingless integration site family member 5 A (Wnt5a), leptin, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) as markers of obesity-associated metaflammation and investigate the association with toll-like receptors2 (TLR2) gene (Arg753Gln) single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) among Egyptian females. The study included 60 females with obesity and 30 matched controls.

Methods: A 3-month single-arm, multicenter, prospective cohort study was conducted in Egypt between January 2021 and October 2022 on previously diagnosed and controlled patients with ocular hypertension and/or glaucoma. Efficacy was assessed using the change in intraocular pressure (IOP) after 6 and 12 weeks.

Hip Hemiarthroplasty in Patients with Multiple Myeloma: A Retrospective Case Series and Review of the Literature.

 Femoral neck fractures in multiple myeloma patients are usually managed with hemiarthroplasty or total hip arthroplasty, depending on the presence of acetabular infiltration. Due to the paucity of dedicated studies, the aim of the present study is to review the clinical outcomes of hip hemiarthroplasty in patients with multiple myeloma and to review the literature regarding the outcomes and survival in these patients' subset.  There were 15 patients (16 cases), with a mean age of 71.

Here, we show that pivekimab sunirine (PVEK), a recently developed ADC comprising the CD123-targeting antibody, G4723A, and the cytotoxic payload, DGN549, was highly effective in vivo against a large panel of pediatric ALL patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models ( = 39).

Patients And Methods: The current study is a single-blind, single-center, randomized, controlled trial that was performed between May 2018 and May 2023 in the breast surgery unit of University Hospitals. This trial involved 40 individuals who had central breast lesions that extended to the nipple and were monitored for two years following surgery.

Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have emerged as a promising strategy in targeted cancer therapy, enabling the precise delivery of cytotoxic agents to tumor sites while minimizing systemic toxicity. However, traditional ADCs face significant limitations, including restricted drug loading capacity, where an optimal drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR) is crucial; low DARs may lead to insufficient potency, while high DARs can cause rapid clearance and increased toxicity. Additionally, ADCs often suffer from instability in circulation due to the potential for premature release of cytotoxic agents, resulting in off-target effects and reduced therapeutic efficacy.

Haemaphysalis longicornis originated mainly in eastern Asia and invaded many areas like Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific islands, and was recently introduced to eastern parts of the USA. This species is characterized by high adaptability to a wide range of temperatures and can reproduce parthenogenically under stressful conditions.
