Introduction: The prognosis of relapsed or refractory mature T- and natural killer (NK)-cell lymphoma remains dismal. Novel agents are urgently needed to improve the outcomes for this population.

Methods: In this phase 2, multicenter, open-label, single-arm study (NCT03776279), the authors report the efficacy and safety of liposomal mitoxantrone (Lipo-MIT) monotherapy in patients with relapsed or refractory mature T- and NK-cell lymphoma.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a critical molecule that participates in various molecular, physiological, and pathophysiological processes in biological systems. Emerging evidence has revealed that H2S is implicated in the progression of colon cancer and immune escape. Against this backdrop, the present study aimed to construct a prognostic risk feature for colon adenocarcinoma (COAD) by leveraging hydrogen sulfide-related genes (HSRG).

Introduction: Alectinib is a second-generation, anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) for the treatment of ALK+ non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and is able to induce significant and durable CNS responses. However, long-term use of alectinib has been clinically reported to cause some serious and even life-threatening adverse events. There are currently no effective interventions for its adverse events, and this undoubtedly leads to delays in patient treatment and limits its long-term clinical use.

Radiotherapy is an effective therapy in tumour treatment. However, the characteristics of the tumour microenvironment, including hypoxia, low pH, and interstitial fluid pressure bring about radioresistance. To improve the anti-tumour effect of radiotherapy, it has been demonstrated that antiangiogenic therapy can be employed to repair the structural and functional defects of tumour angiogenic vessels, thereby preventing radioresistance or poor therapeutic drug delivery.

Disturbance of bone homeostasis caused by () is a key clinical manifestation in spinal tuberculosis (TB). However, the complete mechanism of this process has not been established, and an effective treatment target does not exist. Increasing evidence shows that abnormal osteoclastogenesis triggered by an imbalance of the receptor activator of NF-κB ligand (RANKL)/osteoprotegerin (OPG) axis may play a key role in the disturbance of bone homeostasis.

Objective: To investigate the safety of nano-hydroxyapatite/polyamide 66 (n-HA/PA66) bioactive support in bone grafting and fusion for elderly patients with lumbar tuberculosis, and to analyze its effectiveness and advantages by comparing with autologous iliac bone grafting.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 48 elderly patients with lumbar tuberculosis who met the selection criteria between January 2017 and January 2020. The patients all underwent one-stage posterior pedicle screw internal fixation combined with anterior lesion removal and bone grafting and fusion, of which 23 cases applied n-HA/PA66 bioactive support+allogeneic bone graft (n-HA/PA66 group) and 25 cases applied autologous iliac bone graft (autologous iliac bone group).

The crisis of medical response caused by catastrophic events might significantly affect emergency response, and might even initiate more serious social crisis. Therefore, early identification and timely blocking the formation of crisis in the early phase after a major disaster will improve the efficiency of medical response in a major disaster and avoid serious consequences. In the present paper, we described the emergency strategy to crisis management of medical response after a major disaster.

The three links theory applied in trauma emergency care system refers to an integrated system with the three important components of trauma emergency care system, viz. prehospital trauma services, hospital trauma services and critical care services. The development of the trauma emergency care system should be guided by the three links theory so as to set up a practical and highly efficient system: a prompt operating and monitoring transportation system, a smooth and real-time information system, a rational and sustainable system of regulations and contingency plans, and a system for cultivating all-round trauma physicians.
