A novel metal-organic framework [MOFs], and 2-[benzo []thiazol-2-ylthio)-3-hydroxy acrylaldehyde-Cu-benzene dicarboxylic acid was synthesized by solvothermal method and characterized using -XRD, FSEM-EDX, TGA, BET, FTIR. The tethered organic linker, 2-[benzo []thiazol-2-ylthio)-3-hydroxyacrylaldehyde was commonly known as 2-mercaptobenimidazole analogue [2-MBIA]. Analysis of BET disclosed that addition of 2-MBIA to Cu-benzene dicarboxylic acid [Cu-BDC], reduced the crystallite size from 70.

Synthetic small molecules have been very effective in decimating cancer cells by targeting various aberrantly overexpressed oncogenic proteins. These small molecules target proteins involved in cell cycle regulation, cell division, migration, invasion, angiogenesis, and other regulatory proteins to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. In this study, we have synthesized a novel 1,2,5-trisubstituted benzimidazole chemical library of small molecules and unveiled their anticancer potential against a panel of cancer cell lines such as Jurkat, K-562, MOLT-4, HeLa, HCT116, and MIA PaCa-2 cancer cells.

In this exploration, we assessed the antihyperglycaemic properties of methanol extract of flowers of (MeT) against α-glucosidase, α-amylase and aldose reductase enzymes for the effective management of postprandial hyperglycemia. Hyperglycemia occurs when the body lacks enough insulin or is unable to correctly utilize it. MeT inhibited both the carbohydrate digestive enzymes (α-glucosidase and α-amylase) and aldose reductase, which are vital for the therapeutic control of postprandial hyperglycaemia.

Context: Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies on mental training techniques such as meditation have reported benefits like increased attention and concentration, better emotional regulation, as well as reduced stress and anxiety. Although several studies have examined functional activation and connectivity in long-term as well as short-term meditators from different meditation traditions, it is unclear if long-term meditation practice brings about distinct changes in network properties of brain functional connectivity that persist during task performance. Indeed, task-based functional connectivity studies of meditators are rare.

Carbon dots (C-dots) developed from beetroot is used for the rational design of cadmium sulphide based heterojunction photocatalysts (C-dots@CdS) using hydrothermal technique. The crystal structure, phase, morphology and optical characteristics of the synthesised materials are determined using X-ray diffraction (XRD), High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, UV-Visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-DRS), photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL spectroscopy), BET adsorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electrochemical studies. Using C-dots@CdS catalytic system, a superior photocatalytic activity relative to the undecorated CdS is observed.

In the contemporary era of unprecedented innovations such as the Internet of Things (IoT), modern applications cannot be imagined without the presence of a wireless sensor network (WSN). Nodes in WSN use neighbor discovery (ND) protocols to have necessary communication among the nodes. The neighbor discovery process is crucial as it is to be done with energy efficiency and minimize discovery latency and maximum percentage of neighbors discovered.

The inhibition of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) main protease (Mpro) and papain-like protease (PLpro) prevents viral multiplications; these viral enzymes have been recognized as one of the most favorable targets for drug discovery against SARS-CoV-2. In the present study, we screened 225 phytocompounds present in 28 different Indian spices to identify compounds as potential inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro and PLpro. Molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, molecular mechanics Poisson-Boltzmann surface area (MM-PBSA) binding free energy calculations, and absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity (ADMET) studies were done.

Two-dimensional nanostructures have gained tremendous interest in the field of biomedical applications and cancer activity in particular. Although sulfur is known for its wide range of biological activities, its potentiality in two-dimensional forms as an antitumor agent is hitherto unexplored. To address the current deficient knowledge on nano-sulfur as an antitumor agent, we report the synthesis of nano-sulfur sheets/particles and their cytotoxic, apoptotic activity against human carcinoma cell lines.

The electrochemical performance of linuron (LNR) was studied by fabricating the carbon paste electrode (CPE) using multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) along with zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (MWCNTs/ZnO/CPE). The influence of electro-kinetic specifications involving steady heterogeneous rate, pH, sweep rate, temperature effect, transfer coefficient, accumulation time, activation energy, as well as the total number of protons and electrons participating in electro-oxidation of LNR has been established using voltammetric techniques like cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV). These techniques were applied to investigate LNR in real samples such as soil including water samples.
