Background: The development of immune checkpoint inhibitors has made a significant breakthrough in the treatment of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, there remains a huge unmet clinical need for patients with acquired resistance after initial treatment response.
Methods: This study evaluated the combination of IBI310 (an anti-cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen-4 [CTLA-4] antibody) and sintilimab (an anti-programmed death 1 [PD-1]) antibody) in NSCLC patients who have previously been treated with anti-PD-1/ligand (L)1 and acquired resistance.

The mortality rate of patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated with cardiogenic shock is very high, and in recent years, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation has been used more and more. It plays a very important role in improving left ventricular ejection, increasing coronary artery perfusion pressure and reducing myocardial oxygen consumption. This article reviews the development of intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction with cardiogenic shock in recent years.

Background And Aim: The latest Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging system suggests considering surgery in patients with resectable BCLC stage 0/A hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH). This study aimed to evaluate the safety and short- and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic hepatectomy for BCLC stage 0/A HCC patients with CSPH.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 647 HCC patients in BCLC stage 0/A who were treated at five centers between January 2010 and January 2019.

To analyze and compare therapy responses, outcomes, and incidence of severe hematologic adverse events of flumatinib and imatinib in patients newly diagnosed with chronic phase chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) . Data of patients with chronic phase CML diagnosed between January 2006 and November 2022 from 76 centers, aged ≥18 years, and received initial flumatinib or imatinib therapy within 6 months after diagnosis in China were retrospectively interrogated. Propensity score matching (PSM) analysis was performed to reduce the bias of the initial TKI selection, and the therapy responses and outcomes of patients receiving initial flumatinib or imatinib therapy were compared.

Objectives: The identification of molecular biomarkers for bipolar disorder is anticipated to greatly improve the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. The objective of this case-control study is to determine whether the blood thyroid hormone levels in bipolar disorder patients are associated with different types of first onset.
Methods: From August 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021 a total of 120 female patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder and hospitalized at Qingdao Mental Health Center were recruited as the case group, including 60 patients with depression as their first onset (depression first-episode group, DF) and 60 with mania/hypomania as their first onset (mania/hypomania first-episode group, M/HF).

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of disitamab vedotin (DV, RC48-ADC), a novel humanized anti-human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) antibody conjugated with monomethyl auristatin E, in patients with HER2-positive locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (UC) refractory to standard or regular therapies.
Patients And Methods: The data analyzed and reported are from two phase II, open-label, multicenter, single-arm studies (RC48-C005 and RC48-C009) in patients with HER2-positive (immunohistochemistry 3+ or 2+) locally advanced or metastatic UC who have progressed on at least one previous line of systemic chemotherapy. Patients received DV treatment (2 mg/kg IV infusion, once every 2 weeks).

Accumulating evidence indicates that microglia-mediated neuroinflammation in the hippocampus contributes to the development of perioperative neurocognitive disorder (PND). P38MAPK, a point of convergence for different signaling processes involved in inflammation, can be activated by various stresses. This study aims to investigate the role of the P38MAPK/ATF2 signaling pathway in the development of PND in mice.

Autophagosomes are double-membrane vesicles generated intracellularly to encapsulate substrates for lysosomal degradation during autophagy. Phase separated p62 body plays pivotal roles during autophagosome formation, however, the underlying mechanisms are still not fully understood. Here we describe a spatial membrane gathering mode by which p62 body functions in autophagosome formation.

Methods: Clinical data of 102 patients with acute cholecystitis in third trimester of pregnancy admitted to three Tertiary Hospitals from January 2010 to June 2020 were collected and divided into 3 groups according to the primary treatment during their first hospitalization: Group A (surgical group; n = 11), Group B (percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage (PTGD) group, n = 29) and Group C (conservative treatment group, n = 62). The length of stay, readmission rate, and preterm delivery rate of each group were analyzed retrospectively.

HBV RNA is a novel serum biomarker that reflects intrahepatic HBV covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA) transcription activity. Serum HBV RNA levels among treatment-naïve adults during the natural history of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and distinct liver histopathology statuses remain elusive. In our study, we include a total of 411 treatment-naïve CHB patients, among which 43 patients were HBeAg-positive immune-tolerant [IT(e)], 84 patients were HBeAg-positive immune active [IA(e)], 65 patients in HBeAg-negative immune active phases [IA(e)], 149 patients were HBeAg-negative inactive phases [IC(e)], and 70 patients were in Gray Zone (GZ).
