- A study compared the effectiveness of irradiation stents versus uncovered self-expandable metallic stents (SEMS) in patients with unresectable malignant biliary obstruction (MBO), revealing that irradiation stents improved stent patency and overall survival rates.
- In patients receiving irradiation stents, the first quartile patency time was significantly longer (212 days) compared to those with SEMS (104 days) and had lower rates of restenosis at various intervals.
- Despite the improved outcomes in patency and survival, no significant differences were found in technical success, jaundice relief, or severe complications between the two types of stents.

Recently, the transcription factor SOX11 has gained extensive attention as a diagnostic marker in a series of cancers. However, to date, the possible roles of SOX11 in breast cancer has not been investigated. In this study, immunohistochemical staining for SOX11 was performed for 116 cases of breast cancer.
