Background: The clinical effects and detailed roles of long non-coding RNA (LncRNA) steroid receptor RNA activator 1 (SRA1) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remain ambiguous. In the present study, the complementary sites between lncRNA SRA1, miRNA-363-5p, and phospholysine phosphohistidine inorganic pyrophosphate phosphatase (LHPP) predicted bioinformatics analysis stimulated us to hypothesize that miRNA-363-5p/LHPP axis might be required for SRA1-mediated ESCC progression.
Aim: To investigate the molecular events of SRA1 in the malignant behavior in ESCC.

To demonstrate the efficacy of photodynamic therapy (PDT) using hematoporphyrin derivative (HPD) nanomedicine in combination with conventional chemotherapy based on gadolinium-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-DTPA) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) therapy. HPD nanomedicine was prepared, and the cytotoxicity of HPD nanomedicine at different concentrations on HCC cells and the half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC) were analyzed. Sixty HCC patients who visited our hospital from 2021 to 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical curative effect of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatment and its mechanism in improving dysfunction following traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Methods: Patients were enrolled into control and HBO groups. Glasgow coma scale (GCS) and coma recovery scale-revised (CRS-R) scores were used to measure consciousness; the Rancho Los Amigos scale-revised (RLAS-R) score was used to assess cognitive impairment; the Stockholm computed tomography (CT) score, quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG), and biomarkers, including neuron-specific enolase (NSE), S100 calcium-binding protein beta (S100β), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), nerve growth factor (NGF), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), were used to assess TBI severity.

Objectives: This retrospective study investigated prognostic factors in advanced lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) with one to five bone-only metastasis (BOM) and developed a nomogram model to estimate patient survival.
Methods: We investigated patients with advanced LUAD with one to five bone-only metastasis at the initial diagnosis and diagnosed between 2013 and 2019 in two hospitals. A formula named Risk-H was constructed using hematological variables screened by LASSO-Cox regression analysis in the internal set and verified by the external set.
