In recent years, insomnia has gradually become a common disease in society, which seriously affects people's quality of life. At present, with the deepening of research on intestinal microbiota-gut-brain axis in Western medicine, many studies suggest that regulating the gastrointestinal tract can treat brain-related diseases. It is found that brain-gut-bacteria axis plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of primary insomnia.

Peripheral nerve injury poses a significant challenge to the nervous system's regenerative capacity. We previously described a novel approach to construct a chitosan/silk fibroin nerve graft with skin-derived precursor-induced Schwann cells (SKP-SCs). This graft has been shown to promote sciatic nerve regeneration and functional restoration to a level comparable to that achieved by autologous nerve grafts, as evidenced by behavioral, histological, and electrophysiological assessments.

Clinically, phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5-Is) remain the first-line therapy for erectile dysfunction (ED) patients; however, approximately 35% of these patients are still failing to respond to the therapeutic effects. So, urgent needs are required to identify novel therapeutic targets for ED. Hence, in this report, it was the first time for us to integrate single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-Seq), mendelian randomization (MR) analysis with expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL), and protein quantitative trait loci (pQTL) data to find new treatment targets for ED.

A randomized double-blind phase 3 trial (CHOICE-01, NCT03856411) demonstrated that combining toripalimab with chemotherapy substantially improves progression-free survival (PFS) in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients without pretreatment. This study presents the prespecified final analysis of overall survival (OS) and biomarkers utilizing circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and tissue-based sequencing. Additionally, the analysis revealed a higher median overall survival (OS, 23.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) remains a principal factor in neurological disorders, often resulting in significant morbidity due to secondary neuroinflammatory and oxidative stress responses. While circular RNAs are recognized for their high expression levels in the nervous system and play crucial roles in various neurological processes, their specific contributions to the pathophysiology of TBI remain underexplored. In this study, the possible molecular mechanisms through which circMETTL9 modulated oxidative stress and neurological outcomes following TBI were investigated.

Background: Men who have sex with men (MSM) globally face a high risk of HIV infection. Previous studies indicate that customized short message service (SMS) interventions could reduce high-risk behaviors that associated with HIV transmission. This study aims to evaluate the health and economic impacts of such interventions among MSM in China.

The joint use of deep eutectic solvents (DESs) and cyclodextrins (CDs) has been well demonstrated to have a promoting effect on chiral separation in capillary electrophoresis (CE). These studies focused on constructing synergistic separation systems by adding DESs and CDs to the buffer solution respectively. In this work, for the first time, β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), methyl-β-cyclodextrin (M-β-CD), and hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) were directly used as precursors to prepare several CDs-based deep eutectic supramolecules (DESUPs) by assembling with two organic acids (L-lactic acid and L-malic acid) in different ratios through a simple two-phase mixing.

Tumor angiogenesis and the presence of cancer stem cells (CSCs) are critical characteristics of tumors. Previous research has demonstrated that cancer stem cells promote tumor angiogenesis, while increased vascularity, in turn, fosters the growth of cancer stem cells. This creates a detrimental cycle that contributes to tumor progression.

Objective: The objective of this study is to devise an indicator system to assess the quality of nursing care in the context of interventional therapy for intracranial aneurysms (IA) in China. This will furnish a standardized and quantitative framework for the monitoring and assessment of nursing quality within the IA interventional therapeutic field.
Methods: The indicators and their associated weights within the evaluation system for nursing quality in interventional therapy for IA were determined based on the theoretical framework of the three-dimensional quality model, specifically the "structure-process-outcome" paradigm.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and life-threatening condition associated with cell death, where ferroptosis plays a critical role. Chemerin, primarily produced in white adipose tissue, has multiple biological functions in renal pathophysiology. However, to date, whether and how chemerin regulates the progression of AKI remain unclear.

Background: Macrophage-myofibroblast transition (MMT) plays a significant role in the progression of renal fibrosis in chronic kidney disease (CKD), making inhibition of MMT a promising therapeutic strategy. Pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) and its metabolite lactate are implicated in the pathogenesis of renal fibrosis; however, the mechanisms through which they contribute to this process remain poorly understood.
Purpose: To investigate the effects of PKM2 inhibition by shikonin on renal fibrosis and the underly mechanisms.

Background: Growing evidence demonstrated that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are closely related with chemoresistance in colorectal cancer (CRC). Mitophagy serves as an essential factor to maintain the quality of tumor cells. However, it is unclear whether lncRNAs are involved in mitophagy regulation in CRC.

Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) is a kind of aggressive T-cell lymphoma with significant enrichment of non-malignant tumor microenvironment (TME) cells. However, the complexity of TME in AITL progression is poorly understood. We performed single-cell RNA-Seq (scRNA-seq) and imaging mass cytometry (IMC) analysis to compare the cellular composition and spatial architecture between relapsed/refractory AITL (RR-AITL) and newly diagnosed AITL (ND-AITL).

Background: Loss-of-function mutations of (, also termed as ()) are frequently detected in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The mutant NSCLC was refractory to almost all the antitumor treatments, including programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)/programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) blockade therapy. Unfortunately, mechanisms underlying resistance to immunotherapy are not fully understood.
