Background: Continuity of care is essential to older patients' health outcomes, especially for those with complex needs. It is a key function of primary healthcare. Despite China's policy efforts to promote continuity of care and an integrated healthcare system, primary healthcare centres (PHCs) are generally very underused.

Purpose: There is an aberrant expression of NBAT-1 in various human cancers, which was proven to limit the proliferation, invasion, and metastasis of tumour cells via multiple approaches. Most existing research focuses on sample size and discrete outcomes. Thus, a quantitative meta-analysis was performed to elucidate the prognostic value of lncRNA NBAT-1 expression in cancer patients.

Dysregulated expression of FK506-binding protein like (FKBPL) has been demonstrated to play crucial roles in tumour development. However, the role of FKBPL in lung adenocarcinoma (ADC) remains unclear. Using immunohistochemical staining, we showed that FKBPL expression was significantly lower in lung ADC than the normal tissues ( < 0.

Aim: To develop and validate a computed tomography (CT)-based radiomics nomogram for preoperative prediction of microsatellite instability (MSI) status and clinical outcomes in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 497 CRC patients from three centres. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression was utilised for feature selection and constructing the radiomics signature.

Aim: To investigate the value of a radiomics nomogram integrating intratumoural and peritumoural features in predicting lymph node metastasis and overall survival (OS) in patients with clinical stage IA non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Materials And Methods: This study retrospectively enrolled 199 patients (training cohort: 71 patients from Affiliated Tumour Hospital of Nantong University; internal validation cohort: 46 patients from Affiliated Tumour Hospital of Nantong University; external validation cohort: 82 patients from the public database). CT radiomics models were constructed based on four volumes of interest: gross tumour volume (GTV), gross and 3 mm peritumoural volume (GPTV), gross and 6 mm peritumoural volume (GPTV), and gross and 9 mm peritumoural volume (GPTV).

Aim: To explore the value of preoperative contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) tumour texture characteristics, and clinical and laboratory parameters on the prognosis of curative resection for non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 64 patients (34 men and 30 women) with NSCLC who underwent curative resection and were then followed up for 5 years or until death. Preoperative contrast-enhanced CT images, clinical features, and laboratory parameters were collected for these patients.

Background: Quality of aftercare can crucially impact health status of older patients and reduce the extra burden of unplanned healthcare resource utilisation. However, evidence of effectiveness of primary healthcare in supporting aftercare, especially for older patients after discharge are limited.

Methods: We searched for English articles of randomised controlled trials published between January 2000 and March 2022.

The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and the associated COVID-19 diseases are an emerging threat to global public health. Although considerable scientific research on the immune, especially antibody, responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection have been conducted, additional dominant epitopes and protective antibodies are needed for diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 patients. Here, two different phage libraries are used to identify immunogenic epitopes across the spike protein and monoclonal antibodies from COVID-19 patients.
