Objective: To investigate the ability of intra- and peritumoral radiomics based on three-phase computed tomography (CT) to distinguish between malignant and benign parotid tumors.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of data from 374 patients with parotid gland tumors, all confirmed by histopathology. A total of 321 patients from Center 1 (January 2014 to January 2023) were randomly divided into the training set and internal testing set at a ratio of 7:3, whereas 53 patients from Center 2 (January 2020 to June 2022) constituted the external testing set.

Purpose: To measure the cortical bone thickness of zygomatic alveolar ridge in adolescents and explore the correlation between cortical bone thickness and cervical vertebral bone age.

Methods: Cone-beam CT data of 80 adolescents were collected, including 20 adolescents with cervical vertebral bone ages of Cvs3, Cvs4, Cvs5 and Cvs6, respectively. CBCT images were reconstructed with the maxillary occlusal plane as the reference plane.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates how naringenin affects the differentiation of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) and the role of the SDF-1α/CXCR4 signaling pathway in this process.
  • Results indicate that naringenin promotes BMSC proliferation and enhances osteogenic differentiation markers over time, notably at specific concentrations.
  • The findings suggest that the SDF-1α/CXCR4 signaling axis is involved in naringenin's effects, particularly during the early stages of BMSC differentiation.
