In order to explore the adoption of ultrasonic images under deep learning (DL) algorithm to evaluate the efficacy of drug-coated balloon (DCB) for treatment of arteriosclerotic occlusion, 56 patients who underwent DCB surgery of lower limb artery were selected and all the patients received the examinations of algorithmic ultrasound and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) before surgery. According to the examination methods, they were classified into algorithmic ultrasound group and DSA group. One to two months after DCB surgery, ultrasound examination was performed with the region-based faster convolutional neural network (faster R-CNN) target detection algorithm to check the therapeutic effect.

Background: Using single photon emission computed tomography myocardial perfusion imaging (SPECT MPI) with phase analysis (PA), we aimed to identify the predictive value of a new contraction pattern in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) response.

Methods: Left ventricular mechanical dyssynchrony (LVMD) was evaluated using SPECT MPI with PA in non-ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) patients with left bundle branch block (LBBB) indicated for CRT. CRT super-response was defined as LV ejection fraction (EF) ≥50% or an absolute increase of LVEF >15%.

This study was aimed to explore magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) based on deep learning belief network model in evaluating serum bile acid profile and adverse perinatal outcomes of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) patients. Fifty ICP pregnant women diagnosed in hospital were selected as the experimental group, 50 healthy pregnant women as the blank group, and 50 patients with cholelithiasis as the gallstone group. Deep learning belief network (DLBN) was built by stacking multiple restricted Boltzmann machines, which was compared with the recognition rate of convolutional neural network (CNN) and support vector machine (SVM), to determine the error rate of different recognition methods on the test set.

Method: Patients diagnosed with breast cancer of T4N0M0 from Jan 2010 to Dec 2015 were extracted from SEER database. Multivariable logistic regression was used to analyze the factors associated with PMRT.

Here, we show that the Ruminococcaceae metabolite isoamylamine (IAA) is enriched in aged mice and elderly people, whereas Ruminococcaceae phages, belonging to the Myoviridae family, are reduced. Young mice orally administered IAA show cognitive decline, whereas Myoviridae phage administration reduces IAA levels.

This study used multiple HBV isolates across genotypes A to D to characterize the reported tenofovir resistance-associated mutations identified from a few clinical case reports.

Objectives: Stem cell-derived photoreceptor replacement therapy is a promising strategy for the treatment of retinal degenerative disease. The development of 3D retinal organoids has permitted the production of photoreceptors. However, there is no strategy to enrich a specific photoreceptor subtype due to inadequate knowledge of the molecular mechanism underlying the photoreceptor fate determination.

Background: Controlling nutritional status (CONUT) score, based on three indexes including serum albumin (ALB), total cholesterol (CHO), and absolute lymphocyte count (ALC), has been closely associated with the prognosis of cancer patients. Multiple studies revealed the significance of CONUT score in hematological malignancies, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), multiple myeloma (MM), and leukemia.

After the first pathogenic gene of female infertility was reported in 2016, more and more new pathogenic genes were discovered, and we sought to develop an efficient and cost-effective method for genetic screening in patients. In this study, we designed a target-sequencing panel with 22 female infertility-related genes, namely, TUBB8, PATL2, WEE2, and PANX1 and sequenced 68 primary infertility (PI) and recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) patients.
