The death signaling complex comprising extrasynaptic NMDAR and TRPM4 plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke. Targeting the protein-protein interactions between NMDAR and TRPM4 represents a promising therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke. Herein, we describe the discovery of a novel series of NMDAR/TRPM4 interaction interface inhibitors aimed at enhancing neuroprotective efficacy and optimizing pharmacokinetic profiles.

Background: Numerous studies have demonstrated the significance of trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO) in the progression of atrial fibrillation (AF). However, the association between TMAO and AF recurrence (RAF) post-catheter ablation is not yet fully understood. This study aims to elucidate the predictive capability of pre-procedural TMAO levels in determining RAF following catheter ablation (CA).

Background: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), a chronic lung disease prevalent among premature infants, significantly impacts lifelong respiratory health. Macrophages, as key components of the innate immune system, play a role in lung tissue inflammation and injury, exhibiting diverse and dynamic functionalities. The M4 macrophage, a distinctive subtype primarily triggered by chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 4 (CXCL4), has been implicated in pulmonary inflammatory and fibrotic processes.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a highly heterogeneous hematological malignancy resulting in a range of outcomes, and the early prediction of these outcomes has important implications for patient management. Clinical scoring systems provide the most commonly used prognostic evaluation criteria, and the value of genetic testing has also been confirmed by in-depth research on molecular typing. [F]-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography / computed tomography ([F]FDG PET/CT) is an invaluable tool for predicting DLBCL progression.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is the common form of lung cancer and is prone to distant metastasis. IGF2BP2, an m6A modification regulator, is upregulated in lung cancer tissue, but its specific role within the LUAD tumor microenvironment (TME) is unknown. We explored the role of IGF2BP2 in the progression of LUAD.

N1-methyladenosine (m1A) modification is an epigenetic change that occurs on RNA molecules, regulated by a suite of enzymes including methyltransferases (writers), demethylases (erasers), and m1A-recognizing proteins (readers). This modification significantly impacts the function of RNA and various biological processes by affecting the structure, stability, translation, metabolism, and gene expression of RNA. Thereby, m1A modification is closely associated with the occurrence and progression of cancer.

Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumours, with limited treatment options and poor prognosis in its advanced stages. In recent years, breakthroughs in tumour immunotherapy have led to immune checkpoint inhibitors becoming a new class of clinical oncology drugs. Programmed death receptor-1 (PD-1) and programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) play significant roles in inhibiting T cell responses and tumour immune escape.

Introduction: Excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS), a prevalent non-motor symptom in Parkinson's disease (PD), significantly impacts the quality of life for PD patients and elevates the risks of injury. Our study is to investigate the altered cortical surface morphology characteristics in PD patients with EDS (PD-EDS).
Methods: Clinical data and magnetic resonance imaging were obtained from the Parkinson's Progression Marker Initiative database, comprising 36 PD-EDS and 98 PD patients without EDS (PD-nEDS).

To develop and validate a machine learning (ML) model which combined computed tomography (CT) semantic and radiomics features to preoperatively predict Ki-67 expression in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) patients. We retrospectively collected the clinical, imaging and pathological data of 149 GISTs patients. We randomly assigned the patients in a ratio of 7:3 to a training set (104 cases) and a validation (45 cases) set.
