Pulpotomy, which belongs to vital pulp therapy, has become a strategy for managing pulpitis in recent decades. This minimally invasive treatment reflects the recognition of preserving healthy dental pulp and optimizing long-term patient-centered outcomes. Pulpotomy is categorized into partial pulpotomy (PP), the removal of a partial segment of the coronal pulp tissue, and full pulpotomy (FP), the removal of whole coronal pulp, which is followed by applying the biomaterials onto the remaining pulp tissue and ultimately restoring the tooth.

Integrating bioelectronic devices with hard tissues, such as bones and teeth, is essential for advancing diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. However, stable and durable adhesion in dynamic, moist environments remains challenging. Traditional bioadhesives often fail to maintain strong bonds, especially when interfacing with metal electrodes and hard tissues.

Background: Bisphosphonates (BPs) are the first-line treatment to stop bone resorption in diseases, including osteoporosis, Paget's disease, multiple myeloma and bone metastases of cancer. However, BPs-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ), characterized by local inflammation and jawbone necrosis, is a severe intractable complication. The cumulative inflammatory burden often accompanies impaired lymphatic drainage, but its specific impact on BRONJ and the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.

MYC is one of the most extensively studied oncogenic proteins and is closely associated with the occurrence and progression of many tumors. Previous studies have shown that MYC regulates cell fate through its liquid-liquid phase separation mechanism, which is dependent on two disordered domains within its N-terminal transcriptional activation regions. In this study, we revealed that the negatively charged conserved region (E242-E261) of the MYC protein controls its condensation formation and irreversible aggregation through multivalent electrostatic interactions.

A new fate of cell surface receptors, cleaved activation in the nucleus, is summarized. The intracellular domain (ICD) of cell surface receptors, cleaved by enzymes like γ-secretase, translocates to the nucleus to form transcriptional complexes participating in the onset and development of tumors. The fate is clinically significant, as inhibitors of cleavage enzymes have shown effectiveness in treating advanced tumors by reducing tumorigenic ICDs.

The pro-inflammatory/anti-inflammatory polarized phenotypes of macrophages (M1/M2) can be used to predict the success of implant integration. Hence, activating and inducing the transformation of immunocytes that promote tissue repair appears to be a highly promising strategy for facilitating osteo-anagenesis. In a previous study, titanium implants were coated with a graphene oxide-hydroxyapatite (GO-HA) nanocomposite via electrophoretic deposition, and the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) was found to be significantly enhanced when the GO content was 2wt%.

Age-related dysfunction of salivary glands (SGs) leading to xerostomia or dry mouth is typically associated with increased dental caries and difficulties in mastication, deglutition or speech. Inflammaging-induced hyposalivation plays a significant role in aged SGs; however, the mechanisms by which ageing shapes the inflammatory microenvironment of SGs remain unclear. Here, we show that reduced salivary secretion flow rate in aged human and mice SGs is associated with impaired autophagy and increased M1 polarization of macrophages.

Severe traumatic bleeding may lead to extremely high mortality rates, and early intervention to stop bleeding plays as a critical role in saving lives. However, rapid hemostasis in deep non-compressible trauma using a highly water-absorbent hydrogel, combined with strong tissue adhesion and bionic procoagulant mechanism, remains a challenge. In this study, a DNA hydrogel (DNAgel) network composed of natural nucleic acids with rapid water absorption, high swelling and instant tissue adhesion is reported, like a band-aid to physically stop bleeding.
