Background: Pain is the most critical symptom of knee osteoarthritis(KOA), which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Xibining (XBN), a traditional herbal compound, has achieved good results in the clinical treatment of KOA, and its mechanism of action is worth exploring in depth.
Objective: In vivo and in vitro models of KOA were constructed, and the potential drug action mechanism of XBN in improving osteoarthritis pain was explored in combination with transcriptomics.
Background: Exposed, infected and necrotic tendons often occur in the middle and late stages of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). The exposed tendon is both a potential source and route of infection, which prolongs the treatment period and affects recovery, leading to amputation and even death. Therefore, management of the exposed tendon in patients with DFU is the key to treatment.

Background: Emerging evidence from observational studies and clinical trials suggests a connection between the gut microbiota and variations in bone mineral density (BMD). Nonetheless, the specific association between gut microbiota and BMD alterations at different skeletal sites has not been comprehensively explored. To address this, we employed Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) summary statistics from a publicly accessible database, conducting a two-sample Mendelian Randomization analysis to elucidate the potential causal relationship between gut microbiota composition and BMD.

To evaluate the role of ghrelin in cardiac fibrosis after myocardial infarction (MI) and to investigate the underlying mechanisms of ghrelin-regulated Nrf2/NADPH/ROS pathway-mediated cardioprotection, the profile of Nrf2, fibrosis markers, and oxidative stress markers were characterized in a rat model of MI and Angiotensin II (Ang II)-stimulated cardiac fibroblasts (CFs). The effects of ghrelin on cardiac function, fibrosis and oxidative stress were investigated after MI in vivo. The role of ghrelin in CF migration and proliferation was evaluated in Ang II-stimulated CFs in vitro.
