Risk factors for postoperative pulmonary infections in non-small cell lung cancer: a regression-based nomogram prediction model.

Objective: To identify key risk factors for postoperative pulmonary infections (PPIs) in lung cancer (LC), patients undergoing radical surgery and construct a multiparametric nomogram model to improve PPI risk prediction accuracy, guiding individualized interventions.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on LC patients treated at Yidu Central Hospital of Weifang from March 2020 to May 2023. Among the 1,084 LC cases reviewed, patients were divided into an infected group (n = 131) and an uninfected group (n = 953) based on infection status.

Objective: Lung cancer remains one of the common cancers worldwide. Both LncRNA PCAT7 and miR-486-5p are tightly correlated with NSCLC. However, the relationship between PCAT7 and miR-486-5p and the detailed mechanisms underlying the effect of PCAT7 on NSCLC are not discovered yet.

Effect of on migration, invasion and prognosis of prostate cancer.

Purpose: The present study was designed to explore the expression of sperm associated antigen 9 () in patients with prostate cancer and estimate the correlation between mRNA expression and prognosis of prostate cancer patients. Moreover, we also investigated the role of in migration and invasion of prostate cancer cell lines.

Methods: Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) was adopted to detect the expression of mRNA in prostate cancer tissues.

Primary Sjögren's syndrome accompanied by pleural effusion: a case report and literature review.

Sjögren's syndrome (SS) is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by the infiltration of lymphocytes in exocrine glands, specifically the salivary and lacrimal glands, resulting in the typical symptoms of xerophthalmia and xerostomia. SS may be accompanied by pleural effusion when the lung is involved, but this occurrence has been reported in only 10 cases in the literature. We report the case of a 42 year-old woman with severe bilateral pleural effusion for eight years.

Surgical femorocaval bypass for treating chronic iliac vein occlusion: a case report.

Chronic inferior vena cava and iliac vein occlusion, caused by long-term of deep venous thrombosis, will lead to swelling of the limbs, venous claudication and intractable ulcer. However, conservative treatment is often ineffective for vein occlusion. With the development of interventional techniques, endovascular therapy has become the first choice for the treatment of vein occlusion with higher success rate and lower trauma.
