Gastric cancer (GC) is a common malignant tumor and the third most common cancer in China in terms of mortality. Stomach microorganisms play complex roles in the development of GC. The carcinogenic mechanism of Helicobacter pylori has been elucidated, and there is much evidence that other microorganisms in the gastric mucosa are also heavily involved in the disease progression of this cancer.

The objective is to analyse the physicochemical properties, spatial structure and protein-protein interactions (PPIs) of L7/L12 protein using bioinformatics methods and predict their B- and T-cell epitopes to lay a theoretical foundation for developing a novel multiepitope vaccine (MEV). The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database was searched for the amino acid sequences of L7/L12 from . In addition, the online softwares, ProtParam and ProtScale, were used to predict the physicochemical properties: NetPhos3.

Background: Growing research has demonstrated that alterations in Th2 and Th17 cell composition were linked to systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (sJRA). Nevertheless, whether these associations indicate a causal link remains unclear, and the potential effects of Th2/Th17-related molecules have not been clarified.
Methods: Mendelian randomization (MR) alongside transcriptome examination was implemented to ascertain the links between the Th2/Th17 cells and sJRA.

Background: Ductal carcinoma in situ with microinvasion (DCISM) represents 1% of all breast cancer cases and is arguably a more aggressive subtype of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Preoperative evaluation of DCISM usually relies on core needle biopsy, and non-invasive evaluation methods are relatively limited. This study aims to explore the features of conventional ultrasound (US) and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in DCISM and to analyze the US and clinicopathological predictors of infiltrating components.

Introduction: Ischemic stroke (IS) is a complex illness resulting from a combination of numerous environmental and genetic risk factors. Recent reports have shed light on the vital role that platelets play in the pathophysiology of IS. Here, we aimed to explore the potential platelet-related genes in IS and investigate the effect of platelet-related genes in the immune microenvironment of IS.

Tumor-derived exosomes that transport MicroRNAs significantly influence cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma(CSCC) progression. However, the molecular mechanisms of exosomal MicroRNA-31 regulation of CSCC are mostly undefined. To determine whether a targeting relationship exists between MicroRNA-31 (miR-31) in CSCC-derived exosomes and the tumor suppressor RhoBTB1, and the regulatory effect of the relationship on tumor cells.

Primary neuroendocrine neoplasm of the breast (PNENB) is a rare subtype of breast cancer, accounting for <1% of all breast tumors. The morphological features of PNENB are similar to those of neuroendocrine tumors originating in the lungs or gastrointestinal system, with tumor cells exhibiting the strong expression of neuroendocrine markers, including chromogranin A and synaptophysin. Since this type of cancer was first reported, the definition, classification and diagnostic criteria of PNENB have evolved and changed.

Objective: To analyze the differences in cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) and their correlation with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in Mongolian and Han Chinese patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease.
Methods: A total of 160 patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease who took aspirin or clopidogrel for over one year were retrospectively analyzed, including 80 Mongolian and 80 han patients. The incidence, number, and distribution of CMBs were compared between groups.

Matrigel is the most commonly used matrix for 3D organoid cultures. Research on the biomaterial basis of Matrigel for organoid cultures is a highly challenging field. Currently, many studies focus on Matrigel-based biological macromolecules or combinations to construct natural Matrigel and synthetic hydrogel scaffolds based on collagen, peptides, polysaccharides, microbial transglutaminase, DNA supramolecules, and polymers for organoid culture.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of solute carrier family 40 member 1 (SLC40A1) on iron accumulation, oxidative stress and differentiation in osteoblasts and potential mechanisms.
Methods: Mouse preosteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells were transfected with the SLC40A1 overexpression vector (oeSLC40A1) and siRNA (siSLC40A1), then cell differentiation was induced via ascorbic acid and β-glycerophosphate. Besides, Ferrostatin-1 (ferroptosis inhibitor) and GSK2606414 (PERK inhibitor) were added with siSLC40A1.

Background: The long-term outcomes (≥ 2 years of follow-up) of volar locked plate (VLP) fixation versus closed reduction and casting (CRC) for the treatment of displaced distal radial fractures (DRFs) remain unclear. This study aimed to conduct a meta-analysis comparing the long-term clinical outcomes of VLP and CRC in elderly patients (aged ≥ 60 years).
Methods: A comprehensive search of PubMed, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library was performed to identify studies comparing the long-term outcomes of VLP and CRC for DRFs.

Osteoporosis (OP) is a prevalent skeletal disorder characterized by an imbalance between bone resorption and bone formation, resulting in a significant global burden. Previous research utilizing bioinformatics analysis has identified MAP4K2, SPI1, and CTSD as hub genes associated with OP. In this current investigation, we have successfully established a differential expression system of MAP4K2, SPI1, and CTSD in rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) through transfection techniques.
