Objective: To dynamically observe the effect of Shenshuai Mixture (SM) on repair of kidney in acute renal failure (ARF) rats.

Methods: Male SD rats were divided into 4 groups randomly, the normal group, the SM group, the verapamil group and the model control group. Except those in the normal group were treated with normal saline without modeling, all remaining rats, after being made into ARF model by intra-muscular injection of glycerin, were treated with SM, verapamil and normal saline respectively via gastrogavage.

[Clinical study on treatment of exogenous infection caused fever by infantile umbilical paste].

Objective: To observe the effect of infantile umbilical paste (IUP) in abating infantile fever.

Methods: Two hundred and twenty cases were randomly divided into two groups, the 120 cases in Group A were treated with IUP and the 100 cases in Group B treated with compound Aspirin (APC). The effect in abating fever and side-effects were observed.

[A study on pulmonary artery compliance and hemodynamics in patients with lung-distention].

A simultaneously comparative study on pulmonary artery compliance (Cpa) and pulmonary artery mean pressure (PAMP) in 89 patients with Lung-Distention in TCM by impedance pulmonary rheogram, tricuspid valve echocardiogram and right heart catheterization. Then according to Syndrome Differentiation of TCM, Lung-Distention was sub-divided into four groups. The results showed that PAMP were gradually increased and Cpa decreased in these groups.

[Clinical and experimental study of left ventricular diastolic function in heart qi insufficiency syndrome].

In order to assess the left ventricular diastolic function of Heart Qi Insufficiency Syndrome (HQIS), apexcardiogram, ECG, electro-cardio-phonogram, impedance cardiogram were recorded and computerized simultaneously. A/D, PEP/LEVT, A/H were increased, while TRTI, DATI, HI, SV, CI reduced in 64 patients, 34 of them with coronary heart disease. The change was statistically significant.

44 Wistar female rats were divided randomly into 4 groups--normal control(I), case control (II), reinforcing Qi and promoting blood circulation(III) and nourishing Yin and promoting blood circulation(IV). After 4 times of bovine serum albumin (BSA) shock injection, the group III and the group IV were medicated through gastric intubation for 40 days respectively with 300% mixture of reinforcing Qi and promoting blood circulation and 300% mixture of nourishing Yin and promoting blood circulation. The results suggest the mixture of reinforcing Qi and promoting blood circulation has the function of alleviating pathological changes of liver, reducing the content of liver collagen, improving erythrocytic function of clearing away immune complexes and regulating humoral immune response.

[Correlation analysis between plasma atrial natriuretic peptide and cardiac function in blood deficiency syndrome].

[Effect of yiqi-yangyin prescription on bile composition of cholelithiasis patients].

There were 41 postoperative patients of cholelithiasis with manifestation of Qi-Yin deficiency, had treated with Yiqi Yangyin Prescription. The regimens was 2 weeks as a course, thereafter bile specimens were taken through T tube drainage, and biochemical analysis were performed in order to determine the composition in consequence of the comparison of the treated patients with the control groups.
