Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive neuromodulation technique to activate or inhibit the activity of neurons, and thereby regulate their excitability. This technique has demonstrated potential in the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, such as depression. However, the effect of TMS on neurons with different severity of depression is still unclear, limiting the development of efficient and personalized clinical application parameters.

Objective: To investigate the effects of probiotics combined with enteral nutrition therapy on intestinal flora, digestive tract symptoms and endogenous environment in patients with gastric cancer undergoing chemotherapy.
Methods: In this retrospective study, eighty patients with gastric cancer undergoing chemotherapy admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University from January 2021 to September 2023 were included and divided into two groups by random number table method: the enteral nutrition group and the probiotics combined enteral nutrition group (n=40 each group). The differences in the number of intestinal flora, nutritional indicators, immune function, endotoxin, D-lactic acid levels between the two groups, and the digestive tract symptoms of the two groups before and after treatment were compared and recorded.

Chitosan, obtained through deacetylation of chitin, has been shown to a promising biopolymer for the development of nano- and micro-particles. In spite of inherent anti-cancer activity of chitosan, the employment of this carbohydrate polymer for the synthesis of nanoparticles opens a new gate in disease therapy. The properties of chitosan including biocompatibility, biodegradability, and modifiability are vital in enhancing these nanoparticles, allowing for improved solubility and interaction with cellular targets.

Background: Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) plays a pivotal role in bone regeneration by interaction with microRNAs (miRNAs) and constructing a lncRNA-miRNA regulatory network.
Objectives: This research aimed to elucidate the role of lncRNA CASC11 in the delayed healing process of tibial fractures and to explore its potential regulatory mechanisms.
Materials And Methods: The expression levels of CASC11 and miR-150-3p in serum samples were detected and the predictive capability of CASC11 regarding delayed healing in fracture patients.

Introduction: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the prevalent cardiac arrhythmia and can significantly impair the quality of life (QoL). Although catheter ablation (CA) is an established treatment for AF,post-procedural complications or perceived inadequate control of AF may diminish the QoL for some patients, potentially even to levels lower than pre-procedure. Preliminary findings from our previous pilot trial indicate that acupuncture may positively influence QoL in AF patients post-CA.

Objective: To explore the relationship between adipose tissue deposition and triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, an indicator clinically used to assess insulin resistance (IR), in middle-aged and elderly women using quantitative computed tomography (QCT) and MRI mDIXON-Quant sequence.
Methods: All participants underwent quantitative computed tomography (QCT) and MRI mDIXON-Quant examination and calculated the TyG index based on the fasting blood glucose and triacylglycerol. Bounded by the median TyG index, all participants were divided into low TyG group and high TyG group.

HER2 antagonists remain the cornerstone of therapy for patients with HER2-positive breast cancer. This study introduces a novel small-molecule inhibitor of DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT-1), referred to as DI-1, designed to synergize with HER2 antagonists in treating HER2-positive breast cancer cells. Clinical data reveal a negative correlation between DNMT-1 expression and PTEN levels, and a positive correlation with the methylation rates of PTEN's promoter.
