Background: Tubulointerstitial fibrosis (TIF) is a critical pathological feature of chronic renal failure (CRF), with oxidative stress (OS) and hypoxic responses in renal proximal tubular epithelial cells playing pivotal roles in disease progression. This study explores the effects of Modified Zhenwu Tang (MZWT) on these processes, aiming to uncover its potential mechanisms in slowing CRF progression.

Methods: We used adenine (Ade) to induce CRF in rats, which were then treated with benazepril hydrochloride (Lotensin) and MZWT for 8 weeks.

Purpose: Local recurrence (LR) is the main cause of treatment failure in locally advanced lower rectal cancer (LALRC). This study evaluated the preoperative risk factors for LR in patients with LALRC to improve the therapeutic strategies.

Patients And Methods: LALRC patients who underwent total mesorectal excision (TME) with lateral pelvic lymph node (LPN) dissection (LPND) from January 2012 to December 2019 were reviewed.

Aims: Selective lateral pelvic lymph node (LPN) dissection (LPND) following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) for rectal cancer is widely recognized. This study aimed to determine the effects of nCRT before LPND on local control and prognosis of rectal cancer patients.

Materials And Methods: Data were retrieved from a prospective database for rectal cancer patients with clinical LPN metastasis receiving total mesorectal excision and LPND at three institutions between January 2012 and December 2019.

Meropenem, linezolid, fluconazole, voriconazole, posaconazole, and vancomycin are six important antimicrobials used for severe infections in critically ill patients listed in special-grade antimicrobials in China. The six antimicrobials' highly variable pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics in critically ill pediatric patients present significant challenges to clinicians in ensuring optimal therapeutic targets. Therefore, therapeutic drug monitoring of these antimicrobials in human plasma is necessary to obtain their plasma concentration.
