Objective: A number of miRNAs and their targets were dragged in the differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). We aimed to elaborate the underlying molecular mechanisms of miRNA-320a in the osteoblast and adipocyte differentiation.

Methods: Trauma-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (TIONFH) and normal control samples (n = 10 for each group) were collected, followed by miRNA chip analysis to identify the differentially expressed miRNAs.

Nobiletin Induces Ferroptosis in Human Skin Melanoma Cells Through the GSK3β-Mediated Keap1/Nrf2/HO-1 Signalling Pathway.

Front Genet

March 2022

Guangdong Provincial Clinical Research Center for Chinese Medicine Dermatology, Department of Dermatology, Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, The Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou, China.

Melanoma is an aggressive malignant skin tumour with an increasing global incidence. However, current treatments have limitations owing to the acquired tumour drug resistance. Ferroptosis is a recently discovered form of programmed cell death characterised by iron accumulation and lipid peroxidation and plays a critical role in tumour growth inhibition.

Background: To investigate the efficacy of the 135° hip screw, 95° intramedullary hip screw (IMHS) and 95° hip screw in the treatment of intertrochanteric reverse dip fracture of the femur.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 125 matched pairs of human femurs (median age 64 years) which were osteotomized at a 33° angle in the left femur and extended downward from the minor trochanter to simulate a reverse oblique intertrochanteric fracture. The right femur served as a control.

Purpose: To verify the feasibility of our in-house developed multisequence magnetic resonance (MR)-generated synthetic computed tomography (sCT) for accurate dose calculation and fractional positioning for head and neck MR-only radiation therapy (RT).

Methods: Forty-five patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma were retrospectively studied. By applying our previously in-house developed network, a patient's sCT can rapidly be generated with respect to feeding the sole T1 image, T1C image, T1DixonC image, T2 image, and their combination (five pipelines in total).

PBLD inhibits angiogenesis via impeding VEGF/VEGFR2-mediated microenvironmental cross-talk between HCC cells and endothelial cells.

Oncogene

March 2022

Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Gastroenterology, Department of Gastroenterology, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510515, People's Republic of China.

Sustained anti-angiogenesis therapy increases the level of tumor hypoxia, leading to increased expression of HIF-1a, thereby contributing to the resistance to anti-angiogenesis therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Here, we report that phenazine biosynthesis-like domain-containing protein (PBLD) inhibits hypoxia-induced angiogenesis via ERK/HIF-1a/VEGF axis in HCC cells. Bioinformatic analysis of the TCGA database and clinical samples validation also identify a negative correlation between PBLD and angiogenesis-related genes expression including HIF-1a.

The purpose of this study was to use a 3-dimensional arterial spin labeling (3D ASL) magnetic resonance (MR) method to measure cerebral blood flow (CBF) before and after radiotherapy, and correlate changes with time after receiving radiotherapy and cognitive function. Patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma receiving radiotherapy at our institution were recruited for the study. Participants were divided into three groups: Pre-radiotherapy control (PC) group, acute reaction period (ARP) group, and delayed reaction period (DRP)group.

Background: Increased evidence indicates that the tumour microenvironment (TME) plays an essential role in the development, treatment and prognosis of glioma. High expression of interferon-gamma-inducible protein 30 () is associated with the malignant phenotype, but the effect of on the tumour immune microenvironment and its potential role in the carcinogenesis of glioma remain unknown.

Methods: The RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) data of 33 types of human cancer were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Genomic Data Commons (GDC).

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the antitumor activity of camrelizumab, an antiprogrammed cell death-1 antibody, in pretreated recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and to explore predictive biomarkers.

Methods: Patients with recurrent (not amenable to locally curative treatment) or metastatic NPC who had failed at least two lines of chemotherapy were eligible to receive camrelizumab (200 mg intravenously every 2 weeks) for 2 years or until disease progression, intolerable adverse events, withdrawal of consents, or investigator decision. The primary endpoint was objective response rate (ORR) assessed by an independent review committee (IRC).

Department of Anesthesiology, Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center, Guangzhou Medical University, 510623 Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.

As a gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor agonist sevoflurane is a common general anesthetic used in anesthesia and affects the neural development in offspring. We hypothesized that sevoflurane could regulate interneurons via the neuregulin-1-epidermal growth factor receptor-4 (NRG1-ErbB4) pathway in the entorhinal cortex (ECT) of the middle pregnancy. Six female rats in middle pregnancy (14.

Introduction: The safety outcomes of endovascular therapy for intracranial artery stenosis in a real-world stetting are largely unknown. The Clinical Registration Trial of Intracranial Stenting for Patients with Symptomatic Intracranial Artery Stenosis (CRTICAS) was a prospective, multicentre, real-world registry designed to assess these outcomes and the impact of centre experience.

Methods: 1140 severe, symptomatic intracranial arterial stenosis (ICAS) patients treated with endovascular therapy were included from 26 centres, further divided into three groups according to the annual centre volume of intracranial angioplasty and stent placement procedures over 2 years: (1) high volume for ≥25 cases/year; (2) moderate volume for 10-25 cases/year and (3) low volume for <10 cases/year.
