Unlabelled: To explore brain function alterations in chronic insomnia (CI). 65 CI patients and 48 healthy controls were included to analyze abnormal alterations in brain spontaneous activity using static regional homogeneity (sReHo) and dynamic regional homogeneity (dReHo) methods. CI patients focused on decreased sReHo in bilateral lingual gyrus, bilateral middle occipital gyrus, bilateral inferior occipital gyrus and right superior occipital gyrus; decreased dReHo in bilateral superior occipital gyrus, bilateral cortical area around the talus fissure, and right middle occipital gyrus.

The incidence of prostate cancer (PCa) is increasing, making it one of the prevalent malignancies among men. Metastasis of PCa to the bones poses the greatest danger to patients, potentially resulting in treatment ineffectiveness and mortality. At present, the management of patients with bone metastasis focuses primarily on providing palliative care.

The study aims to evaluate the prognosis and risk factors of sepsis-associated thrombocytopenia (SAT) among patients with coagulopathy, and to provide evidence of the relationship between adverse outcomes and potential risks. Patients with sepsis-associated coagulopathy were included in the study from January 2014 to December 2022. The primary outcome was sepsis-associated thrombocytopenia (platelet count less than 100 *10/L), which was evaluated by logistic regression models adjusted for demographic characteristics and comorbidities.

Glutamatergic alteration is one of the potential mechanisms of depression. However, there is no consensus on whether glutamate metabolism changes affect the myelin structure of depression in mouse models. Glutamate chemical exchange saturation transfer (GluCEST) is a novel and powerful molecular imaging technique that can visualize glutamate distribution.

Purpose: To develop and test a radiomics nomogram based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and clinicopathological factors for predicting the axillary pathologic complete response (apCR) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in breast cancer patients with axillary lymph node (ALN) metastases.
Materials And Methods: A total of 319 patients who underwent MRI examination and received NAC treatment were enrolled from two centers, and the presence of ALN metastasis was confirmed by biopsy pathology before NAC. The radiomics features were extracted from regions of interest of ALNs before (pre-radiomics) and after (post-radiomics) NAC.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has become a thorny problem in the treatment of breast cancer because of its high invasiveness, metastasis and recurrence. Although immunotherapy has made important progress in TNBC, immune escape caused by many factors, especially metabolic reprogramming, is still the bottleneck of TNBC immunotherapy. Regrettably, the mechanisms responsible for immune escape remain poorly understood.

Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), a major cause of female infertility, is defined as follicular atresia and a rapid loss of germ cells in women of reproductive age due to ovarian failure. Recently, findings from several studies have indicated that human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUMSCs) can alleviate ovarian dysfunction resulting from POI. However, the mechanisms underlying this effect require further clarification.

This study sought to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the impact of the interferon signaling pathway on Ferroptosis in tumor cells and its correlation with CD8 + T cell exhaustion. Using mouse models and single-cell sequencing, the researchers studied the interaction between CD8 + T cells and the interferon signaling pathway. Differential gene analysis revealed key genes involved in CD8 + T cell exhaustion, and their downstream factors were explored using bioinformatics tools.

Background: The aim of the present study was to investigate the function of novel circular RNA hsa_circ_0036683 (circ-36683) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: RNA sequencing was used to screen out differentially expressed miRNAs. Expression levels of miR-4664-3p and circ-36683 were evaluated in lung carcinoma cells and tissues by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR).

The endothelial glycocalyx is damaged in postcardiac arrest syndrome (PCAS), but the prognostic value is unknown. We aimed to observe the expression and prognostic value of glycocalyx shedding products, including syndecan-1 (SDC-1), hyaluronan (HA), and heparan sulfate (HS) in PCAS. Data on clinical and 28-day outcomes of seventy-one consecutive patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) after the return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) were collected.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and validate a radiogenomics nomogram for predicting microvascular invasion (MVI) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) on the basis of MRI and microRNAs (miRNAs).
Materials And Methods: This cohort study included 168 patients (training cohort: n = 116; validation cohort: n = 52) with pathologically confirmed HCC, who underwent preoperative MRI and plasma miRNA examination. Univariate and multivariate logistic regressions were used to identify independent risk factors associated with MVI.
