Purpose: To determine the effect of dexmedetomidine on the ED and ED of sufentanil in patient-controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA) after cesarean section.
Patients And Methods: Parturients who underwent elective cesarean section (n = 80) were randomly assigned to either the sufentanil group (S group) or the dexmedetomidine-sufentanil combination group (DS group). Importance: The impact of adjunctive intra-arterial tenecteplase administration following near-complete to complete reperfusion by endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for acute ischemic stroke is unknown.
Objective: To assess the efficacy and adverse events of adjunctive intra-arterial tenecteplase in patients with large vessel occlusion stroke who had achieved near-complete to complete reperfusion (defined as a score on the expanded Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction [eTICI] scale of 2c to 3) after EVT.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Investigator-initiated, randomized, open-label, blinded outcome assessment trial implemented at 34 hospitals in China among 540 patients with stroke due to proximal intracranial large vessel occlusion within 24 hours of the time they were last known to be well, with an eTICI score of 2c to 3 after EVT, and without prior intravenous thrombolysis.

Background: Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) was an effective treatment for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and its effectiveness in combination with targeted immunotherapy regimens was controversial. This meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the efficacy of adding HAIC to lenvatinib in combination with programmed death-1 (PD-1) inhibitors.
Methods: Literature related to the efficacy of HAIC in combination with lenvatinib plus PD-1 inhibitors in the treatment of advanced HCC was searched through PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Web of Science databases.

Background: Heart failure (HF) guidelines recommend routine testing for iron deficiency (ID) and, for those with ID, intravenous iron if the left ventricular ejection fraction is <50%. Guideline adherence to these recommendations by cardiologists in China is unknown.
Methods And Results: An independent academic web-based survey was designed and distributed via social networks to cardiologists across China.

Vibrio parahaemolyticus propels itself through liquids using a polar flagellum and efficiently swarms across surfaces or viscous environments with the aid of lateral flagella. H-NS plays a negative role in the swarming motility of V. parahaemolyticus by directly repressing the transcription of the lateral flagellin gene lafA.

Efferocytosis in macrophages typically engages an anti-inflammatory positive feedback regulatory mechanism. In osteoarthritis (OA), characterized by imbalanced inflammatory homeostasis, the proinflammatory state of macrophages in the immune microenvironment can be reversed through enhanced efferocytosis. This study develops an in situ proefferocytosis hydrogel microsphere (macrophage polarity converter, H-C@IL) for OA treatment.

Objectives: This study aimed to analyze lymph node metastasis (LNM) distribution in superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and its impact factors on survival.
Methods: We reviewed 241 pT1N+ ESCC cases between February 2012 and April 2022 from 10 Chinese hospitals with a high volume of esophageal cancer (EC). We analyzed clinicopathological data to identify overall survival (OS) risk factors and LNM distribution in relation to tumor invasion depth.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, particularly due to the limited effectiveness of current therapeutic options for advanced-stage disease. The efficacy of traditional treatments is often compromised by the intricate liver microenvironment and the inherent heterogeneity. RNA-based therapeutics offer a promising alternative, utilizing the innovative approach of targeting aberrant molecular pathways and modulating the tumor microenvironment.

The host-guest recognition system is incorporated into the core region of the 10-23 DNAzyme for precise regulation of its functionality. Biochemical experiments demonstrate reversible and orthogonal control of the DNAzyme function using cucurbit(7)uril and its competitive guests. Furthermore, cellular experiments indicate the gene expression can be effectively manipulated through this ligand-controllable DNAzyme.

Bariatric surgery stands as the most potent treatment for achieving substantial weight reduction and alleviating the complications associated with obesity. However, it is not the treatment of choice for patients with obesity combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and the benefit of bariatric surgery varies widely among individuals. There is a noticeable inconsistency in the outcomes following these procedures.

Neurological disorders are the leading health threats worldwide, characterized by impairments in consciousness, cognition, movement, and sensation, and can even lead to death. UFMylation is a novel post-translational modification (PTM) that serves as an important regulatory factor, promoting the complexity of protein structures and enhancing the diversity and specificity of functions. In UFMylation, ubiquitin-fold modifier 1 (UFM1) is covalently transferred to the primary amine of a lysine residue on the target protein through the synergistic action of three enzymes: the activating enzyme E1 of UFM1, the coupling enzyme E2 of UFM1, and the ligase E3.

The genus Chrysanthemum has been widely used as both folk medicine and food in East Asia for thousands of years, serving as a significant source of nutritional and pharmacological value. According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, it clears heat and toxic materials and regulates liver function. Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that polysaccharides from the genus Chrysanthemum, especially Chrysanthemum morifolium, Chrysanthemum indicum, and Coreopsis tinctoria, are vital representative macromolecules with diverse biological activities, including antioxidant, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, antitumor, and antiviral properties as well as the ability to regulate the gut microbiota.

Despite improvements in clinical outcomes of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), mortality rates remain high, indicating the need for further understanding of the pathogenesis and developing more effective cardiac protection strategies. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) carry proteins and noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) derived from different cardiac cell populations, mainly including cardiomyocytes, endothelial cells, endothelial progenitor cells, cardiac progenitor cells, cardiosphere-derived cells, immune cells, fibroblasts and cardiac telocytes have vital roles under both physiological and pathological process such as myocardial infarction (MI). The content of EVs can also indicate the status of their parental cells and serve as a biomarker for monitoring the risk of cardiac injury.
