The concept of gait synergy provides novel human-machine interfaces and has been applied to the control of lower limb assistive devices, such as powered prostheses and exoskeletons. Specifically, on the basis of gait synergy, the assistive device can generate/predict the appropriate reference trajectories precisely for the affected or missing parts from the motions of sound parts of the patients. Optimal modeling for gait synergy methods that involves optimal combinations of features (inputs) is required to achieve synergic trajectories that improve human-machine interaction.

In view of the micro/nanostructure tunability of colloid particles, they acted as agrichemical delivery systems. Herein, supra-amphiphilic colloids were fabricated using a host-guest interfacial recognition-architected emulsion template strategy and controlled their agricultural interfacial interactions with the superhydrophobic target surface. Interestingly, the supramolecular interfacial system possessed redox-stimulated molecular reconfigurability by regulating aggregation/disaggregation behaviors.

Background: Post-stroke depression (PSD) is the most prevalent neuropsychological disorder among stroke patients, affecting approximately one-third of stroke survivors at any one time after a stroke. We identified between-person associations between post-stroke depression trajectories across 3 timepoints and predictors affecting trajectory classification among stroke patients.
Methods: This is a prospective longitudinal study using a convenience sample of 119 participants from 2 tertiary hospitals from March 2022 to September 2022.

Background: The reference values of eNO have certain differences among people of different countries and races. We aimed to obtain the reference value of eNO in healthy children and adolescents (6-18 years old) in China and to explore the associations between the reference values with ages, gender, heights, BMI, and regions.
Methods: We measured FeNO levels in 5949 healthy Chinese children and adolescents, FeNO and CaNO levels in 658 participants from 16 provinces of 7 administrative areas in China aged 6-18.

An in-situ nanozyme signal tag combined with a DNA-mediated universal antibody-oriented strategy was proposed to establish a high-performance immunosensing platform for Alzheimer's disease (AD)-related biomarker detection. Briefly, a Zr-based metal-organic framework (MOF) with peroxidase (POD)-like activity was synthesized to encapsulating the electroactive molecule methylene blue (MB), and subsequently modified with a layer of gold nanoparticles on its surface. This led to the creation of double POD-like activity nanozymes surrounding the MB molecule to form a nanozyme signal tag.

Bile duct injury presents a significant clinical challenge following hepatobiliary surgery, necessitating advancements in the repair of damaged bile ducts is a persistent issue in biliary surgery. 3D printed tubular scaffolds have emerged as a promising approach for the repair of ductal tissues, yet the development of scaffolds that balance exceptional mechanical properties with biocompatibility remains an ongoing challenge. This study introduces a novel, bio-fabricated bilayer bile duct scaffold using a 3D printing technique.

Introduction: X-linked Alport syndrome (XLAS) is caused by pathogenic variants in which lead to abnormalities of the glomerular basement membrane (GBM) structural and is characterized by progressive kidney disease, hearing loss, and ocular abnormalities. The aim of this study was to identify gene mutations in a Chinese family with XLAS by whole-exome sequencing (WES) and verified the pathogenicity of the mutation in vitro experiments.
Case Presentation: A five-generation pedigree with a total of 49 family members originating from Hainan province of China was investigated in this study.

(1) Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by β-amyloid (Aβ) peptide accumulation and mitochondrial dysfunction during the early stage of disease. PINK1 regulates the balance between mitochondrial homeostasis and bioenergy supply and demand via the PINK1/Parkin pathway, Na/Ca exchange, and other pathways. (2) Methods: In this study, we synthesized positively charged carbon dots (CA-PEI CDs) using citric acid (CA) and polyethyleneimine (PEI) and used them as vectors to express PINK1 genes in the APP/PS1-N2a cell line to determine mitochondrial function, electron transport chain (ETC) activity, and ATP-related metabolomics.

Background: It is reported that CD123 + HLA-DR- cells in PBMC are basophils, and CD203c, CD63, and FcεRI molecules are activation markers of basophils. However, little is known of CD123 + HLA-DR-cells in blood granulocytes.
Objective: To investigate the presence of CD123 + HLA-DR- cells in the blood granulocytes and peripheral PBMC of patients with allergic rhinitis (AR), as well as the impact of allergens on the cell membrane markers of basophils.

Background And Purpose: Significant differences in the outcomes observed in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) have led to research investigations for identifying the predictors. In this retrospective study, we aimed to investigate the relationship of different clinical and imaging factors with the prognosis of AIS.
Materials And Methods: All clinical and imaging metrics were compared between the good and poor prognosis groups according to the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score at 90 days after discharge.
