Background: To develop and validate an innovative predictive model that integrates multisequence magnetic resonance (MR) radiomics, deep learning features, and clinical indicators to accurately predict the recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after thermal ablation.
Methods: This retrospective multicenter cohort study enrolled patients who were diagnosed with HCC and treated via thermal ablation. We extracted radiomic features from multisequence 3T MR images, analyzed these images using a 3D convolutional neural network (3D CNN), and incorporated clinical data into the model.

Background: Currently, the need for new therapeutic strategies involving programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) monoclonal antibodies in the second-line setting of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is urgent. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of anlotinib plus penpulimab as a second-line treatment for patients with SCLC who progressed after first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.
Methods: This study included the patients from Cohort 4 of a single-arm, open-label, multicenter, phase II clinical trial.

Objectives: Helping residents select nutrient-dense foods is a strategy to improve their diet quality. However, communication based on the nutrient-dense foods as a positive attribute has not been widely used in nutritional education. This study aimed to develop an educational tool based on the picture and guidance of "Chinese food guide pagoda (2022) ", extend it with the concept of nutrient density, and investigate its acceptance by Chinese residents from Henan province.

Leukemia is a type of hematological malignancy (HM) caused by uncontrolled proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Leukemia cells proliferate greatly in the bone marrow (BM), infiltrate other tissues and organs, and affect the normal hematopoietic function. Although the emergence of new targeted agents and immune agents has improved the prognosis of patients, due to the complex pathogenic factors and heterogeneity of leukemia, there are still some patients with poor prognosis.

Background: The vast majority of pancreatic cancers have been shown to be insensitive to single-agent immunotherapy. Exploring the mechanisms of immune resistance and implementing combination therapeutic strategies are crucial for PDAC patients to derive benefits from immunotherapy. Deletion of BAP1 occurs in approximately 27% of PDAC patients and is significantly correlated with poor prognosis, but the mechanism how BAP1-deletion compromises survival of patients with PDAC remain a puzzle.

The CRISPR-Cas12a system has revolutionized nucleic acid testing (NAT) with its rapid and precise capabilities, yet it traditionally required RNA pre-amplification. Here we develop rapid fluorescence and lateral flow NAT assays utilizing a split Cas12a system (SCas12a), consisting of a Cas12a enzyme and a split crRNA. The SCas12a assay enables highly sensitive, amplification-free, and multiplexed detection of miRNAs and long RNAs without complex secondary structures.

The ALPINE trial established the superiority of zanubrutinib over ibrutinib in patients with relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia and small lymphocytic lymphoma; here, we present data from the final comparative analysis with extended follow-up. Overall, 652 patients received zanubrutinib (n = 327) or ibrutinib (n = 325). At an overall median follow-up of 42.

Rosmarinic acid (RosA), a hydrophilic phenolic compound found in various plants, has several biological effects such as anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptosis activities. However, its potential impact on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and its underlying mechanism has not been investigated. In this study, we explored the potential therapeutic effects and mechanism of RosA on COPD airway inflammation and alveolar epithelial apoptosis and .

Although high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma of the cervix (HGNECC) accounts for less than 1 % of all cervical cancers, it exhibits marked aggressiveness and resistance to radiation and chemotherapy. We retrospectively investigated the efficacy of immunotherapy for recurrent/metastatic HGNECC in a real-world setting. From September 2016 to December 2022, a total of 29 patients with HGNECC accepted PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors; of these, six cases (20.

To investigate the efficacy and safety of avapritinib in the treatment of molecular biologically positive core binding factor-acute myeloid leukemia (CBF-AML) with KIT mutation after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) . We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of six patients with molecular biologically positive CBF-AML with KIT mutation after allo-HSCT, who were treated with avapritinib at Henan Cancer Hospital from December 2021 to March 2023, and evaluated the efficacy and safety of avapritinib. After 1 month of treatment with avapritinib, the transcription level of the fusion gene decreased in six patients, and the transcription level decreased by ≥1 log in five patients.
